Big win for F&M and the Centennial Conference.  Good win out of conference.

Big win indeed, I think that the Centennial performed really well over the weekend, tough losses by both Muhlenberg and Hopkins, but F&M definitely had a big statement win against Del Val.

DipsWin13

For F&M, it was a blowout like none I've seen them produce this season.  It really makes you wonder what this team could have accomplished if they had been healthy all year long.

I know it's not new news but does anyone have any feelings about the All-Conference selections?: http://centennial.org/sports/fball/2013-14/releases/11-19-All-CC

Ho, Ho, Ho...Hum.  Another all purple day in Salem

NJF 1003,  thanks for your service as pickems administrator.

My new years resolotion: I will not submit picks on the bye week this year. :-[

Two Blue Jays earned NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships recently.  Congratulations to Arena and Bonaddio.  Can't imagine there's a better combination of academics and football anywhere in Division III right now than at Hopkins.

From a Brockport poster...Good luck to Rocco Salomone as he was named the new DC at Susquehanna. Long time ex HC at Brockport who was known for their tough defenses during their 4 straight NCAA playoff appearances in the early 2000's.
Looks like Coach Briggs has been there longer than Rocco was at Brockport. 1-9 last year.  They used to be pretty dominant...don't follow them now...not sure what happened .?
I see their OC used to coach at Cortland.another Upstate NY guy..and their DBs coach is from Rochester NY as well.
Was the previous DC fired ? resigned ?

DipsWin13

As F&M gets set to start up spring ball, they also will have a few familiar faces missing from the coaching staff as Craig Sutyak (defensive coordinator) and Jay Ridinger (assistant coach & former WR/ Captain) will join the coaching staff at Lehigh as  defensive backs coach and assistant defensive backs coach respectively.  Former F&M All-Conference defensive lineman and assistant Coach Mark Surma is also the Outside Linebackers Coach for the Mountain Hawks, so plenty of familiar faces on the sideline up in Bethlehem.

That was fast. Previously reported new DC at Susquehanna, Rocco Salomone already called it quits.
He was pretty heavily promoted on their social media...even going so far as to have a promotional type poster made up with all his previous coaching stats, a bit unusual for a D3 coordinator. Their social media has been silent about his departure.
Must not have liked the food.

Go mules

Two teams in the preseason top 20. Should be a fun season, can't wait to get started

Welcome to the board. Those magazines aren't usually written by anyone who follows Division III on a regular basis so their value isn't much beyond a little publicity in May or June. :)

I am definitely excited.  ;D

Getting close now ... CC held its annual media day and Hopkins grabbed the top spot in the preseason coaches/sids poll.

http://www.hopkinssports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/080614aab.html

Might be too many players to replace at JHU ... mules, with always great defense and great young QB, probably team to beat.  They also get Hop at home ... and Hop goes too Muhlenberg, Ursinus & F&M - tough road trips this year for Jays.

It's time for the 2014 CC boards Pickem's Competition.  I was hoping that someone out there in CC Land would volunteer to be the Pickems admisnistrator for this year.  If no one volunteers I'll do it.   There are two games tonight so get your picks in before kickoff.  If not, not to worry.  The season winner is the one with hte best winning percentage.
