Why are no colleges between the midwest and San Francisco area? Only the NWC and SCIAC. Makes out of conference games a long trip for those these two conferences.

ALL-NWC is out
BTW, the NWC HC's need to check themselves on the honorable mentions, there is like 500 guys on that list. Lewis and Clark had NINE guys named honorable mention. NINE
That is so true!! We see it every year.

Linfield had the 2nd best team in the west coast this year.

I've watched quite a bit of both. Whitworth seems to start slow and kick into gear after a quarter or so. Chapman reminds me a little of Linfield in that they look really good at times and then just go flat and allow the other team back into the game. So, I wouldn't be surprised to see chapman get a lead early and then watch it disappear as the game progresses. I think Whitworth wins by at least 14
Good analysis. Agree.

I think for a lot of us posters that saw little issues that were concerning about this 2023 team those items played a critical role in the loss today.
Correct. All year this team did not play a full game. They would look great in the 1st qtr. and then nothing in the 2nd qtr. Or vice versa. Inconsistent. Can''t do that against a very good team.
Congrats Whitworth. You played very well. Your domination in the 4th quarter was the key.

Linfield needs to play VERY well in all four quarters. No let up. Whitworth will be their toughest opponent yet. Home field helps.
Just compared the stats for each team. Both very impressive:
Linfield Whitworth
Points per game 44 47
Points allowed 14 18
Rushing yards 191 161
Rushing TDs 20 20
Passing yards 264 291
Passing TDs 27 22
Total yards 455 452
Penalties 70 60

The Cats better start making some PAT's after TD's or it might be a 9 game season.
The whole kicking game seems in shambles.... kick-offs, punts and PATs.
Yes, all year long. That will be crucial against Whitworth and any playoff team.

CatJumper, thanks for the feedback...glad to hear it.
Its so ironic to me, these schools in So Cal want the diversity of which football attracts, but not that type of male, towards the end of Oxy's run the President had his clamps on the football team. This was a major premise of current and former players at Oxy players that I know. Most of these comment were from black players.
Wow! The Oxy school leaders were racist? Stunning and deplorable.

Yes I'm frustrated by the LiNFIELD sports network.
I cannot get the game to come up. It keeps trying to steer me to Whitman soccer.
Same here. I can not log on
