Loras 111 Central  80

So close.

The BeltTm moves on with Loras to the first ever American Rivers Conference Tournament which is really just the IIAC Tournament with a longer more confusing name.   Loras as the 2 seed get the bye and will play Thursday night in Dubuque against the winner of #3Wartburg and #6Dubuque who play Tuesday.  Judging by this years BeltTm path Wartburg has no chance.

2018-19 Corn BeltTM (obvious)
3-16-18: Nebraska Wesleyan
1-26-19:  Loras
1-30-19:  Dubuque
2-6-19:   Coe
2-9-19:  Loras

Also The BeltTm makes that NCAA thingy.

Vegas agrees; the game has been taken off the board.

And The BeltTM enlightenment brought this quote immediately.  ;D :)

That seems silly and pointless...

...which means it fits in nicely with half of the other boards on the site.  Cheerio.

I'm not going to say I told you so but I told you so.

Dubuque will play Loras Thursday night in Dubuque.  Oh yeah and Dubuque has already beaten Loras twice, both times in Dubuque.  Because both schools are in Dubuque.

Loras 93  Dubuque 78

Third times a charm because its hard to beat a team 3 times in one season, just ask Sager.  With this win Loras carries The BeltTm from Dubuque alllllllllllllll......llllllllllllllllllll the way across Iowa into the land of Cornhuskers (and Prarie Wolves) for a Saturday evening American Rivers Conference Tournament Championship which is neat.

Winner carries The BeltTm into the NCAA tournament and immediately guarantees they will not win it this year.

Fairwell Dubuque, Iowa.

After a year that required a bit of patience we end up where we began with The BeltTm heading to the NCAA Tournament in the hands of the defending champions.

Also resharing the map now that we're up to date through the ARC Tournament. I've got placeholder text in place for this weekend and we'll see where ItTM goes the following weekend before heading to Fort Wayne.

The BeltTM is a jealous mistress. If cutting down the net on the last night of the season is your goal, and the Big Doorstop is really your ultimate prize instead of The BeltTM, then it's clear that carrying Thee Most Exalted Bespangled CinctureTM into the tournament turns it into Thee Most Jinxed Albatross CummerbundTM.

Rivendell, no. King's Landing, yes.
