Don't pay any attention to 57, admiral. He likes to rustle one's feathers.

Regarding polls: Pep says a team is only as good as its next game. Doesn't make any difference what the polls say. While it's nice for AU to finally get some "recognition" and Pep is happy for the team, nothing really changes. The Saxons need to go out and give it all they got the next Saterday, same as always.

They are voting on scores they read.

And the opponents' records, and the location of the games.

Frankly we could go round and round concerning polls. A couple of examples if polls are based on results for a particular year:

1. There shouldn't be a preseason poll since no games have been played yet. What is it based on?

2. In the first week of the season any team in the top 25 beaten by a team out of the rankings should be replaced by that team, right? If the poll is based on this years results.

Like I said we could go round and round and it gives us topics for discussion, but the great thing about DIII is it is actually decided on the field.
Best thing about polls is that 'Wick aint in any of them...sorry couldnt resist :D

admrial...you might want to shut your mout as your first game this year Wick got routed by WNEC...who is now in the basement of the NEFC...yes the NEFC

I'll shut my mout old man just as soon as you learn how to spelt it.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

82 is happy for AU as well (until we meet at Growney of course); 82 envisions that had he not attended and played for SJF that AU and/or RPI would be teams/programs that I woulda enjoyed watching and rooting for...no particular reason....just seems to feel right...Mayberry...Hmmmm ::)

Peter Piper picked a peck of Purple Saxons...Pep

Who the heck does Peter Piper think he is?

Peter Piper picked a peck of Purple Saxons....translation....Stepnick picked Keely 3 times in the season finale to secure the E8 and AQ...Pep

In other words, Peter Piper thinks he is Stepnick  ;D

According to Game Stats, that just isn't true about Stepnick:

INTERCEPTIONS: St. John Fisher-Matt Driscoll 1-0; Gene Lang 1-0; Steven Stepnick 1-0. Alfred
University-Brent McGill 1-0.

Pep, I was foreshadowing for this year...

'fess up, 82...you were exaggerating the performance of your Fisher boy at the expense of the truth. Past tense means it's already happened, 82. "Picked" is past tense. But Pep doesn't feel like arguing, so Pep will let you off this time.....

No reason here to lie to the Pepmeister...that is funny that you picked up on the the "past tense" thing because I actually thought about that as I typed it...seriously.  I left it past-tense (even though I really was referring to later this fall when we beat the pickled peppers out of the Purple Saxons) because I wanted to remain consistent with the 'real' saying "Peter Piper picked..."
