Kumerow touchdown!

That was way cool.

...and he didn't dive head first into the end zone. At least he's learned something over the past 4 months.  ;)

From BadgerofHonor.com:
QuoteBuffalo redshirt junior quarterback Tyree Jackson will be exploring graduate transfer options. Wisconsin Football should try and get involved.

Wouldn't that be something?

For Jackson's sake, I hope he stays in school another year. Not sure if UB or another school is best for him.
He has tremendous talent, but much to improve on with accuracy, decision making and ball security.

Badgers just signed their QB of the present and future last week. A 6-foot-4, 205-pound signal caller from Blue Valley North High in Mission, Kansas, Graham Mertz - a consensus four-star prospect, #3 rated QB at last summers Nike Elite 11 Camp. Badgers were fortunate to get on him early & before anybody else discovered him and it paid off. He had offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Arizona State + more. Had he signed with anybody else, he would have been a five-star prospect. He's an early enrollee in Madison & will probably be a 4 year starter for the Badgers from day one on campus.

Mertz is ranked as the 102 best player in the Nation.  Houston was in the 200's  yes I know all of this means nothing, but when do the Badgers ever beat out the Blue bloods for a QB?

Here's all the schools Mertz had offers from:

Wow, that's an impressive list to say the least. I know nothing is guaranteed but I don't think it is meaningless. UW beat out a long list of successful competitors for the most valued position. Nice win for the Badgers. I hope the kid does great.

In addition, I believe Bart Huston had major surgery on his throwing shoulder after his senior high school season. He was never the same after that.

I might be off a guy or two but I believe I saw a graphic during the Pinstripe Bowl that said Miami had 36 4 or 5-star recruits on their roster vs 6 for the Badgers, roughly the inverse of the game's final score. FWIW

...which is probably why "The U's" coach is retiring, before they could fire him...furthermore, the Badgers have a grand total of ZERO 5-star recruits. I didn't see the graphic you speak of (I didn't see the full game either), but if your recollection is accurate, giving the Badgers six, 4-star recruits appears to be a very generous acknowledgement by that collection of dimwits who announced the game for ESPN (they were about as bad as bad can get).
