For a number of years I was the main poster on the SUNYAC D3hoops board. I used to pick who would win all the games with final scores. Did a fairly good job and retired a few years ago as my health isn't good. But I had to come on this board and mention the prognostication of Bobby Comstock, who predicted a Cortland win by a score of 38-36.

Good play by play announcer and good picker. The D3 Football Gurus should give him a call and get his weekly picks.

I haven't been on much in the last several years but it's great to see you on here. Sorry to read about health issues, but I used to love being on those SUNYAC boards. A great day for SUNY pride.

Is Cortland the most improbable Champion in D3 since the Mount Union Era began? I feel like we don't see this type of run often. Amazing stuff.

What a crazy game! Congrats to the Red Dragons! Amazing effort and play. A game fitting of the 50th year.

This may be the most fun game I've watched this year on any level.

Making my yearly appearance to wish the Red Dragons good luck in the 2nd half! It's amazing to see a NY school in the Stagg after a few decades.

Hello E8ers. In for my yearly check in  ;D. Will be taking in the Brockport game tomorrow. Happy football everyone .

This board doesn't get the traction it used to, but I was happy to partake in the Brockport vs Alfred game. A great defensive performance to wrap up the season for Brockport. Good luck to Cortland in the playoffs!

Alfred at Utica kicking off at 4 pm today for some classic, uhhh, Tuesday Afternoon Football.

Hartwick will not be participating this spring. Fisher might play both these teams, I don't recall.

St. John Fisher was on schedules and then disappeared from them, so I'm not sure they are participating this spring. I see two Alfred-Utica games but nothing else for the moment.

Yep, Fisher decided not to play. All Hartwick sports canceled.

Alfred and Utica split their doubleheader (well, sort of.) Utica 30, AU 17 in opener, with AU winning the nightcap, 17-10 a week or so later.

Saxons gave up a pick-6 and another pick to set up Pioneers in the red zone in the loss at Utica.

AU overcame three turnovers at Yunevich Stadium (including fumbling into the Utica end zone to come up empty on a nice drive) to hold on for 17-10 win, with a young defense coming up big on a goal line stand on the last play of the game, to the delight of the 0 fans in attendance. (Pep strategically stood between the Millers to see the final minutes.)

On Saxon Warriors!

Hi Pep! Hope you are doing well!

I don't even remember what I got banned for, but while I was actually attending Brockport I was quite annoying on these boards at times. After graduating I mellowed a bit. I kinda wish message boards were still a major thing because I like this format. Posting on social media isn't the same!

Anyone still around these parts? Decided to post for the first time since 2018 lol. I got to see Brockport vs Alfred in 2019. Hoping to get to a game this year, presuming we're allowed. Hope all the "regulars" are still doing well and are healthy.

I was hoping we'd get a lot of memories of humorous writers or writings from the past here... unfortunately not yet.... another hopefan idea down the drain  ::) ::) ::)

I am posting a year later since I did enjoy reading this thread. Unfortunately  I forget about this board for years at a time these days, but I had a lot of fun on these boards as a Brockport student then alum. All fond memories. Even arguing with JT on the politics board. I started even earlier than this incarnation, because I actually got banned as a student.  :D. I really do love this board and am so thankful for Pat et al. For creating it.

A week late like usual the last few years, but hope everyone is enkoying the season so far. Go Golden Eagles!

Congrats to the CRU!

Obviously your D is beyond words at this point. I was happy to watch my alma mater play such a great team.

Good luck in the Stagg!

The rough start doomed Brockport but in the last 3 quarters I think Brockport should be proud and represented the East very well. There aren't moral victories of course but it was an awesome season for the Golden Eagles
