Senior forward/center Kathryn Bozarth led the Seahawks with the 23 points and 13 rebounds on Senior Night. Freshman guard Megan Uglik added 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting, including a perfect 3-3 from downtown. Senior forward Amanda Polidoro had a memorable Senior Night of her own with 13 points, seven assists, and six rebounds.

For the Gophers, junior guard Stacy Hollander scored seven points with four rebounds. Sophomore forward Maura Fair and junior forward Kimberly Gordy each added six points and four rebounds. Swan finished with five points and two steals in the contest.

The Seahawks clinch a first round CAC tournament home contest with the victory.

Heather   Kessler finished the game going 11-for-24 from the floor, 6-for-14 from distance, and 8-for-10 from the charity stripe en route to her career-high 36 points. Kessler also recorded six assists, four steals, and three rebounds. Ashley Robertson added nine points and a game-high 13 rebounds while Jess Kemp and Heidi Miller each contributed nine points to the Spartan attack. Sophomore Sarah Lyttle added eight points and eight boards for the green and white.
   Jovin Dinkel led the Bison with 15 points while she also had six assists and four rebounds. Johanna Karmgard added 14 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three blocked shots while Priscilla Biskupiak recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Charity Sanders was the fourth Bison in double figures with 10 points while she also had five rebounds, five steals, three assists, and two blocked shots. Victoria Crockett contributed 10 rebounds, six points, and four assists to the Bison cause.

Catholic wins its 14th in a row and improves to 20-6.

UMW 67, YCP 54

Debbie Bruen scored 14 points and added ten rebounds and five assists to propel the University of Mary Washington women's basketball team to a 67-54 victory over York College of PA on Tuesday night in Capital Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinal action. The Eagles who won their twentieth game in a season for just the fourth time ever, will visit Catholic University on Thursday at 6 pm in the CAC semifinals.

the CAC tournament game between the UMW Eagles And CUA Cards has been postponed until Fri. 2/25/05 due the weather conditions... Time to be determined. AShould be a very good game to watch as these two teams spilt during the reg season... Hope to see you all there at the CUA DuFour center

17 NCAA DIII Championships

UMW 54, CUA 51

The University of Mary Washington women's basketball team survived a late 19-0 run to defeat Catholic University, 54-51, on Friday night in Capital Athletic Conference semifinal action at the DuFour Center. The win, which is UMW's 21st of the season, ties the school record for wins in a season, and sends the Eagles back to the CAC title game for the first time since 1998.

Salisbury Sea Gulls shocked top seeded Marymount 67-57 to avance to the championship game aganist the UMW Eagles.

Debbie Bruen led all scorers with 20 points and ten rebounds, Jenn Olinger scored 14.
