KOHAWKS WIN!  KOHAWKS WIN!

5-4 in 10 innings.    ;D
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Just Bill

Not yet!!  They play-by-play still shows nobody out in the 10th for St. Thomas and two men on base.  The web page updated during the pitching change, but that doesn't mean the game is over.

Great season Kohawks!

You are the best Coe has ever had.  27 wins is an outstanding accomplishment, not to mention the regional win over St. Thomas.  You might not have won the region, but you had a big impact on the outcome.

Now that Coe is out of it, go Oles!

Pitching depth is already a pretty big issue for the teams in the loser's bracket.  The rest of the tourney might be decided by which offense can do the best job of hammering secondary pitching.  That is why St. Thomas still has a chance.

St. Olaf is not going to win the regional by outslugging the opposition.

They ended up ranked sixth in the final poll of the season.

Wartburg ended up ranked eigth, the highest ranking for a non C.W.S school.

Excellent showing by the IIAC.

Makes a good argument for the IIAC being the premiere softball conference in the nation! 8)

Great info... and may quite possibly set the record for the longest post in history!

I am not certain how Wartburg is not given more respect in the poll. I know they are picked to win it again, but to only get two first-place votes is odd.
Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.
