I have an ignorant question for guys on the board. It's been early recruiting season here at (allegedly) Division 1 Wyoming. I see a lot of guys described as a two-star or three-star recruit. Once in a while we get a sniff at a four-star. How many stars does your typical NWC recruit bring with them?

Thanks in advance...

I would think the great and large majority of division III players are considered "unranked".  I'm sure there are some D3 recruits that have been assigned a "star" ranking but that's probably the exception to the rule.

C'mon 11---I know you are a humble guy, but comparing that to your work is just not right.  That piece looked like somebody told a 6th grader to make a highlight film...then he waited till the last minute and threw one together on the way to school......of course it doesn't help that the PIOS had that one play worthy of a highlight reel all season.....   ;D
Go Cats!

(509)Rat

By definition all of L&C's highlights are "mini" so I deduct points for redundancy in the title...also for the song about craving boys

This highlight gets 0.5 bags of popcorn (mostly for effort) on the (509)Rat & Ebert highlight film critic scale

cawcdad

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. You have set the bar high 11. But WC11 does a mini highlight per game. It took an entire season and one big play to make the Pio mini highlight.

Yeah, at first I was a little put off by it but you guys are right.  Not that big of a deal.

The 'Cats have picked up a couple of nice in-year transfers.  Former Oregon State Walk-On, JC Grim has joined the team as a receiver.  He was an all-state WR/DB at Bend High. And RB Sutter Choisser from American River JC, who was the offensive MVP of his conference his senior year at Whitney High (CA).

Well, Locey is certainly a Pioneer in what he has chosen to do.

With a national championship coach now coaching a perennial loser if he turns the Pios around should we check with the Vatican to see if he'd be eligible for Sainthood?

The mention of Jay Locey brings this question to mind: Is anyone aware of another person having been head football coach at two Northwest Conference schools?

The Pac-12 basketball season sparked the thought because it's happened there a few times, including Marv Harshman (Washington State/Washington), Ernie Kent (Oregon/Washington State), George Raveling (Washington State/Southern California) and Mike Montgomery (Stanford, California).

Has any similar situation happened in NWC football? Or any other NWC sport, for that matter?

Wasn't the Whitman b-ball coach (Bridgeland) previously at UPS?

What was Casey's position at Whitworth? Def. Coor.?

catjumper

Bridgeland could be correct - I haven't followed NWC hoops much outside of Linfield lately. And Casey's bio on the George Fox site lists him as having been an assistant at Whitworth, but doesn't specify the position.
