Multi-Regional Topics / 2024 NCAA Tourney
February 26, 2024, 04:32:21 PM
NYU, DeSales, and Catholic are given poor hosting choices: NYU goes to a 1-seed(DeSales) instead of a 4/3/2 seed. Chair Dannelly said if I'm a 1-seed, I don't want to play at a 2-seed host; it's even worst than that being at a 1-seed.
DeSales, being a 1-seed, shouldn't have another 1-seed(NYU) in its pod.
Catholic, also a 1-seed, similarly, shouldn't have to play at another 1-seed(W&L).
There must have been a complete lack of 4/3/2-seed schools putting in to host to justify these choices.

Looking to create a list of schools who have posted their coming nonconference/tourney schedules so that interesting matchups can be contemplated. As you become aware of such, append to the list(alphabetically). I'll start it off with:

Montclair
North Central(IL)                 https://northcentralcardinals.com/sports/womens-basketball/schedule
North Park
York(PA)

If we get enough(25?) contributions, we can regroup them by region since with covid considerations, these OOC games will most likely be within the same region. I'll start it off with:

Karin Harvey(Chairman) on Hoopsville talking about hosting in the tournament:
In a perfect world, it would be nice(affected by geography) to have 2 teams from each region hosting; there wasn't any mention of the best 16 teams hosting as has been mentioned somewhere previously on these chat boards.
