I looked up ONU opponents record. They have not won more than 3 games in a season in a long time. Looks like opening week for the Bears is a gimmie. Time to play some JV late.

For those who follow the Mount's program closely, who is expected to be the Raider's kicker and punter this year? A friend of my son (his high school teammate) is in camp. He played for Mount's JV last year. Really a good kid.

Needless to say I gave him a "slightly" hard time when I found out his choice of schools!  :D

The kicker will probably be: Herm Timmersjo, 6 '5" 230+  He returns from last year's team, shared duties will Jay Carpenter.

The Raiders have brought in so many kickers/punters, who knows who will do the punting. That has not been a problem area for Mount, since they do not punt very often.

Punts per year (15 games)

2009  44,  2.9 per game
2008  28,  1.9 per game
2007  36,  2.4 per game
2006  31,  2.1 per game
2005  43,  2.9 per game

Five year ave.  36 per year,  2.4 per game
13 time Division III National Champions

Nope. Punting has not been the problem area for Mount in the last 5 years, that's for sure. And at 72-3 in that span, could you refresh me again on what exactly the problem areas have been?   :D

Does he kick straight on with a square toe? That's a big dude for a kicker!!  ;)

Soccer style--he's from Sweden and came here after having been in Ohio as a High School Exchange student.

I'm not aware that Herm was returning. He wasn't on the list of returning players

Thought he had another year left, if he is not returning then the kicking duties are up for grabs!

I'd come back with some witty remark, but I'm about to walk out the door to go to my daughter's HS soccer scrimmage and don't have the time to think.

Former Raider Johan Lorenzo is trying out for UWW. What can you tell me about him (as a player)?
