Tigers are down and I believe they will struggle to win another game this year. Getting beat (8 losses in a row) and getting beat badly most every time out.
No idea whats going on but whatever that may be, it is painful to watch.

None-the-less I will enjoy watching the ODAC battles.

Give'm hell
tfa2, I went to the Ferrum game last night to see FC's venue, to honor former GC great Sanborn and, frankly, because the Quakers are a fun team to watch.   I'm looking forward to seeing the Tigers when they visit Guilford on Feb. 2.  One of the first things I do when I return from a game is check all the ODAC scores … it's definitely interesting to see how things are shaking out in a very competitive ODAC race.

Congrats on the win. I'm interested to see how the ODAC plays out. Seems like the favorite to win changes every week. As of today it appears
GC, LC, E&H, RMC will fight it out but guessing RC & VWU can beat anybody on any given day, maybe EMU & W&L too.
Thanks, tfa2.  I think all the teams you mention are definitely in the race.  I know HSC is having a down year this year, but I hope they finish strong … the ODAC is always more interesting when the Tigers are a factor.

GC has 8 regular season games left to play, all in the ODAC.  I'm not overlooking anyone, but especially BC, at UL, at EMU, HSC, at RoC, at BC, E&H and W&L.  Wait, that's everyone we have left on the schedule ...  the last month should be interesting!

Guilford 75, Ferrum 44 at Ferrum

After an early 5-2 Panthers lead, the Quakers went on a 27-5 tear to lead 29-10.  It was never in doubt.  About all you need to know is FC was 14/61 on FGs and was 7/19 from the line while GC hit 12 threes and was 11/11 on FTs.   I realize I said about all you needed to know, but GC also controlled the boards 57-36.

Congratulations to Guilford's Miracle Walters for being named to the Team of the Week.  Her play helped propel the Quakers to wins over both E&H and RMC and sole possession of 1st in the ODAC.

Final  Guilford 60, Randolph 51

Video was up in the 2nd half.  Neither team shot well, but GC finished stronger than RaC.  The Quakers improve to 11-5, 5-2 and the WildCats drop to 6-10, 1-6.  Guilford visits Ferrum Wednesday at 7 pm.

Final in Greensboro:  Guilford 60, Randolph-Macon 53

A big win for the Quakers as they assume sole possession of first in the ODAC.  Guilford was led by Miracle Walters' 24 points.  The game was competitive throughout, but GC took control in the 3rd quarter.  The program mentioned Kelly Williams was out for the year for the Yellow Jackets … tough break for RMC.  I wish her a full recovery soon.

Halftime Guilford 31, Randolph 20

Since I was a little worried about driving to Lynchburg due to the inclement weather forecast for central Virginia, I planned my afternoon around watching online.  Too bad the video feed from Randolph appears to have technical issues.  Hopefully, it will be up for the second half.

Congrats on the big win over RMC and good luck the rest of the season. Your Quakers are always competitive.
Thank you, tfa2.  The RMC game was very tense and a huge win.   I know HSC is a bit down at the moment, but I always fear a game with the Tigers.  I honestly think the Quakers are starting to gel and expect a strong finish to the season.

Several big games tonight that could shake up the ODAC standings:  Roanoke at Guilford, Lynchburg at E&H, BC at VWU and W&L at EMU, among others.

In the Roanoke/GC game, someone will get a 2nd ODAC loss and in the W&L/EMU game, someone will get a 3rd.

Early predictions I got GC winning a tight one over RC

W and L beats EMU

BC losing at VWU

Lynchburg losing to E and H in a very close game
I have to say I agree.

New Top 25 poll is out:  RMC at 18, UL at 22 and GC receiving votes with 5 points ... and Guilford has wins this season over both teams.

Those GC wins are important to point out here so that voters, who have a lot to be aware of, will hopefully read it and can factor that info into future votes. Of course, at this point GC has four losses while R-MC has two and Lynchburg has only the one loss to GC.
Yes, there are four losses and all of them were in November.  The two that bug me the most are the home loss to Greensboro (their only win) where we blew a second-half 15-point lead and the OT loss at VW.  The Quakers led the Marlins 65-56 late and then also fouled on an inside basket by the Marlins that forced OT.

On the bright side, I think the head-to-head wins will factor in conference seeding come tournament time.

I was gone to Williamsburg on a trip with the wifey and didn’t see any of it, although I checked the score at half and midway through the 2nd half. Can’t say I was surprised either! Hasa’s Quakers are well coached and usually play well in their house!, Congrats to them!! Jackets have to regroup and come back strong!!
Guilford is well-coached.  With a 13-14 record in 2005-06, Coach Palombo only has one losing season in his 16 years with the Quakers.  I bet every opposing coach circles a trip to Ragan-Brown.

^^ Guilford sometimes starts slowly also (note the 13-point halftime deficit vs RMC).  Our inside play is pretty strong with Long, Gregory, Ruszalla, Curry, Wells and Ward.  Guard play has been solid also … Gore, in particular, has really stepped up his game.  Leckonby, Harkins, Logan. Porreca and Wallis can all handle the ball … and shoot.
