My only criteria is a city where Alaska Airlines flies.  Right now I am liking St. Louis.

Whaaat no United...

No United.  I live in a captive market served by an airline that gives benefits to those who have lived with a benevolent overlord.  Never underestimate the benefits of living in a time zone where even the late games are all finished well before bedtime.

I regret I could have it better with one more time zone to the west where my employer has an office.

As you wish, Sir!  (When the chief guru of D3baseball.com needs something, then it happens.  Frisco is now a good choice!)

And the winner is..... Cedar Rapids! (I think I might have called that.)

Let the...
"Is this heaven?"

"No, this is Iowa..."

... statements begin.

Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.

In terms of our ability to cover the D-III College World Series, there were worse options.  I am looking forward to getting to know Cedar Rapids as well as I know Appleton (the drive from my hotel to the ballpark and back).

I didn't know it was possible to find flights that short.

They are available, but I would not suggest getting on one...

FYI - UT-Tyler has announced, apparently, that they are pursuing DII.

Not necessarily a potential College World Series site, but UT-Tyler was the host to West Regional which permitted Rhodes in 2017 and Millsaps in 2015 to be bussed westward to a Regional.

Losing Irwin Field as a "bussable" venue cuts down on the flexibility offered to the Selection Committee.

My shortest flight on a 737 was 10 miles.  From the army airfield to the city airport.
