Would love to see a St. John's game - preferably SJU vs UST. But you are a long way from Alliance, Ohio. Maybe a playoff game at Mount? Hope to meet a bunch of you someday! Go Johnnies! (Raiders too).  ;D
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

Pssst: The University of St. Thomas, ousted by the Division III MIAC, is commissioning the Populous sports facilities firm, which designed the Gophers' Siebert Field, to assess the cost of renovating and building new on-campus athletic faclities.

The university is considering the Division I Pioneer League, which doesn't provide athletic scholarships, for football, and the Division I Summit League for other sports.

St. Thomas, which recently hired two Penn State assistant athletics directors, has required coaches to keep new conference talks confidential.

So ice hockey, especially women's ice hockey, appears to be the gateway to D1. No mention of that Shooter? The WCHA seems logical, but once again travel to Alaska & Alabama Huntsville can make for some long road trips compared to Moorhead or Northfields MN.

Besides the Alaska question, the WCHA schools are leaving to recreate themselves without the Alaskas or Alabama, so that may not be an issue:

Summit League Members: Denver, North Dakota, NDSU, Omaha,Oral Roberts,Purdue Fort Wayne,South Dakota, SDSU,Western Illinois.

A couple things about The Summit League: if UST thinks they are going to out recruit NDSU in any sport, male or female, in the Twin Cities they are once again delusional. If UST thinks they will have any form of athletic success in their first 5 years, they are once again delusional. There will the be basketball, volleyball and baseball/softball equivalent to Monkey Stomps for several years.

Not saying the Summit does or doesn't make sense, but there is an opening: Purdue FW is leaving for the Horizon League:

UM-Kansas City will rejoin the Summit in 2020-2021, and it's likely that Augustana (Sioux Falls), who plan to transition from D2 to D1 after the 2019-2020 season, will take another spot before the Toms have a chance--not that it matters because the Summit League doesn't have an official or unofficial cap on membership that I'm aware of. My guess is that Western Illinois will go belly up on or before the time the Toms would ever join the conference. There is some real concern over in Macomb, IL and it sounds like the Summit League isn't counting on WIU's continued existence.

Planning on being back home in MN for several weeks this fall and definitely hoping to get to a Johnnies home game; thinking maybe the Augsburg or Bethel games, the 5th and 12th. Last Johnnies game I saw? Homecoming 2011 vs. Augsburg. Also known as the greatest moment in Augsburg football history but not one I'd like to remember. Maybe see some folks at one of the games if I do make it up.

Pick Bethel and bring you anti-mojo to the game for us. We'd love to give you a repeat experience  ;D

If the evangelical vs catholic anti-mojo works please bring it South after the Bethel game and check out the 6pm kickoff between UNW and St. Scholastica.  Perfect day for a doubleheader.

Changing football topics here for a minute. We are going to Iowa City for the Gopher game on Nov. 16th and want to tailgate. I've found a tailgate lot listed on Vivid Seats about a 5 minute walk from Kinnick. The spot is listed at $102 and I've got another couple that will split it with us. I'm wondering if anyone has experience buying parking / tailgating spots online and if anyone has ever used Vivid Seats.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Vivid Seats has worked fine for me for buying tickets. Have used it a couple times; very much like stubhub and seatgeek. I think they guarantee authenticity, like the others. I would assume the same for a tailgate spot. I have been to the majority of B1G cities. I would rate Iowa City up there in the top 2-3 in the B1G for a gameday experience and pretty friendly atmosphere for visiting fans. And I don't like Iowa. Good mix of tailgating and bar scene. The train ride is fun on gameday as well.

How does that compare to the Olaf music 🎵 program?
I heard they recruited one of the best tenors in the state. He's also an amazing hand bell player.

Sorry for tripping it. Please feel free to reset it and I won't take it this time.

I actually heard the hand bell player is out with tennis elbow. Might be career ending. Unsure if Olaf will still honor his full ride. They should be ok though. Olaf music doesn't rebuild, they reload 😎
