Pretty sure the greatest dynasty of all time....

Now, now, be fair.  Adolph only missed on his boast of a Thousand-Year Reich by 988 years! ;D  For a psychopath, he was pretty darned close!

I saw on Twitter recently several responses to the question Top 5 Sports Dynasties of All Time. You only get 5.

My list is

1.  1993 and counting Mount Union Football
2.  1940s - 50s Clevenad Browns
3.  1960s - 70s John Wooden UCLA Bruins
4.  1950s - 60s Boston Celtics
5.  2000 and counting UConn Women's Basketball

Not arguing with your list but a little addenda:

I'd take those Browns all the way from 1950 to their last championship in 1964, or even the last conference championship in that run in 1972.

1987 to 2008 Tennessee Women's Basketball.  There would be no Geno without Pat.  Classic rivalry.

Iowa 1975-2010 D1 Wrestling

Augustana made the playoffs in ten straight years and won four in a row -- that will never be matched.

And D3 Kenyon men won 31 straight swimming and diving championships!  The Kenyon women won 17 straight during the same period.

Not so sure about that, North Dakota state just rattled off 5 straight titles from 2011-2015. I'd put NDSU on here before Augustana

I'm still putting Augustana ahead.  In each of the 83-86 Seasons, Augustana never lost.  NDSU had at least one loss (2 in 2015) with the exception of their perfect year in 2013.  That means that the seniors in the class of 87 never lost a football game while in attendance at Augustana.  That additional natty for NDSU is compelling though.

Was reading the Toledo Blade newspaper this morning and in the article of BGSU replacing the fired head coach, on the list of possible hires was Glenn Caruso, Head Coach of Division 3 St Thomas.

That is impressive, I didn't realize they were unbeaten for 4 years. I personally think 5 straight titles is a more impressive feat though, but I see your point.

I thought this might be an opportunity for VK. Especially if they want to stay in Ohio (which seemed to be a criticism of the coach that was just fired).

Would never happen.  UMU would promote Kappas or Dartt (if they didn't go with VK to BGSU).

Pat Coleman

In this hypothetical of VK getting hired at Bowling Green, I'm sure that at least one top assistant would take the opportunity to go. As big as the pay hike is for a D3 head coach to get a D-I FBS head coaching job, the difference for an assistant would be life-changing as well.

I actually kind of wondered if the Toledo Blade started asking around Mount Union people and someone in that conversation suggested Caruso. Caruso doesn't have the track record of a Lance Leipold and has shown no interest in leaving the Twin Cities, with his young kids and his wife battling cancer.

Here's the highlights from the Rhine River Cup game. Looks like Mount Union is going to have their hands full on Saturday.  ;)

It's going to be Bo Pelini, his Nebraska contract stops paying out after this year and YSU will no longer be able to keep him. And since Carl Pelini is the current interim, it'll be a natural transition.

That being said I hope VK interviews for the YSU job when it opens
