Adrian's won 17 games in back-to-back seasons.  Most wins in consecutive years since the 1950's.

Need 3 wins to reach 20........hmmmmmm.

Good points all. It's especially interesting what an interpretive difference would be made by a basket on either side.

I'd rather not think about that, thanks. :)

Ryan Terpstra, the color commentator, went to Calvin. I'm not sure about Cleary.

Ryan Terpstra's comments after Van Arendonk's shot really rubbed me the wrong way.  Those of us that have watched Nate frequently know full well he's capable of hitting that shot and has done so on numerous occasions these last two years.

There are times I equate complaints about refs to complaints about announcers.

Turns out it was a pretty fair fight -- eight vs. seven.
Hope had five guys, plus the three refs, although one of the refs appeared to take most of the afternoon off.
Calvin had five guys, plus the two announcers.
Not sure which emoticon to use to signify that this is a joke.  It's a joke, people.  I'm JK.  No, actually I'm GK.  Hope that's OK.

We've talked about refs, announcers, fans, attendance...aren't we missing some serious discussion about condiments and dead horses?

you did read my next post, right?  If you did, you should be able to say I never mentioned refs.  I mentioned the three extra players were the three Hope players who showed up in the second game and didn't in the first.

Assuming makes you look, well, like the saying goes.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but when people say 5 v 8, we all know what it usually means.

I agree with your original interpretation sac, despite the transparent after the fact protests to the contrary.  Only 5 players on the court at a time, last I looked...

Fantastic trivia question I do not know the answer to.

When was the last time Kalamazoo won both games in the season series with Albion?

I took a look on the MIAA website to see if I could find anything on the archives. Found it. During the 2001-02 season, so 2002 was the last time:

Trine can actually lose both games this week and still make the tournament provided either or both Adrian and Olivet lose both of their games.

They can even win a tie-breaker for 3rd over Adrian.

Losing both games this week would put Trine on a 4 game losing steak.

goodknight

I can envision both Trine and Olivet dropping their games this week.  Adrian, not so much.
