I'd imagine some John Carroll fans are lamenting the arrest didn't happen last week. . . .

Let's just hope Fulford learns from his mistake(s) and turns things around.

Another media outlet is reporting that deputies stated the warrant is related to hazing and battery, sounds a little worse than unpaid parking tickets. Released on $5,000 bond and awaiting extradition order to appear in Florida.

unpaid parking tickets sound worse than "hazing" and a $5k bond....yikes, what a criminal.

Mount went to the semis with a 3rd string freshman, they will be alright

I typically agree with you on 99% of what you say, but I don't think anyone is arguing that Mount will be "alright." I think everyone wants to know what is going on the with the star QB, and if we are talking about major crimes here. And I don't blame any of them.

Sure Mount should win Saturday and beyond regardless of today's news, but it is still ok to wonder about today's news.

hazing and battery sounds like a very 2017 charge.   It's serious and I hope it gets pleaded down.  I can't judge Mr Fulford, I made a lot of bad choices in my college years.  I wonder what the details of his situation are.

It occurs to me that Washington & Lee's coaches have spent a fair amount of time this week looking at tape of a quarterback who won't be playing. . . .

Mount Union is so damn sneaky!

This was my point, some were saying they hoped it was parking tickets. It's clearly not but at the same time, innocent until proven guilty except in the court of public opinion, internet message boards or social media.

I sorta think this is the bottom line. Obviously, this is a message board and people have a right to free speech (well, decreasingly so, but you know what I mean). I understand people will post what they will post. But it's easy to forget this is a college kid who made a mistake. Here our guy gets brought up four years later (not by an OAC fan).  He's a really good guy and it's awesome when he is able to make it back to campus.  Maybe I get too protective of the DIII athlete, but my hopes are that Mr. Fulford works things out and people choose not to drag his name through the mud.

Exactly what I was thinking. Plus the po po waited long enough to ensure Mt secured home field advantage in the playoffs- AGAIN.

Easy, Iím just making football light of an unfortunate situation.

And speaking of young men doing stupid things, naval aviators - older than Mr. Fulford, I'm sure - performed some . . . interesting . . . maneuvers over the skies of Washington State yesterday.  (I'd post a link but this is a family newspaper.)

This is not going to look good on their resumes.

Official response from Mount Union:

So in which state of the union will Fulford be spending the day tomorrow?  Ohio?  Or Florida?
