Nice piece by CBS Evening News  about St Scholastica regarding their assistant Football Coach.  The Assistant Coach also happens to be a Nun. This is nice.

Last November Greenville College played St Scholastica for the Conference Championship in Duluth. I had previously read in the local paper about her and sought her out after the game to meet and chat with her...

Unusual Lady..unusual situation...My hat is off to the Head Coach for taking a chance and following his intuition to live out of the box and hire her....

Awesome decision...

The NY Times did a piece last year and so did we around the same time.
Here's ours: http://www.d3football.com/columns/around-the-region/west/2014/sister-on-the-sidelines

And the NYT can promote itself. :)

Pat:

I remember reading your article and it was/is a good one (thanks for posting that link again).  You not only beat CBS EN to it, but your piece was better than both the CBS EN and the NYT.  Kudos (i.e. +k) to you again. :)

Thanks -- all the credit goes to Josh Smith. He's the West writer and he did a great job with this piece. I basically never give him a specific assignment and he does a great job finding these stories on his own. :)

Indeed, kudos to Josh Smith too for doing the writing!

Also, with regard to the topic of articles/coverage, I would just like to also thank you and your d3fb.com staff writers for all the excellent articles you have been doing each week here.  While you guys have always done a great job on those over the years, IMO, this years articles have been among the best ever.  A very neat variety of topic and different "angles" covered this year it seems to me.

Since St. Scholastica is a West Region team, what is this thread doing here? :o

But it is a pretty cool story.

I've responded to it so you can probably assume I'm OK with it for the short term, Chuck.
