From time to time Paul Brown would call Williams "that dinky college" - perhaps because he couldn't consistently recall its formal name. Of course from his perspective that sobriquet was spot on.

Nescac1.....Thanks for the info.   Several comments....not expecting great numbers of visitors to football games?  When is the completion date/dates?   What part of the new building are you funding? :)

What provision for saving the currently existing one hundred fifty-eight year old James A. Garfield Memorial Urinal?

Full plans for the future football complex at Williams.  Looks pretty sweet:

This looks great! Congrats to Williams and hopefully everything will work out. dlip remembers the days of Union/Williams football.

The new Williams College football, lacrosse, field hockey, and track venue will be one of the most effective and attractive sites for athletics in the United States. Once again Williams sets the gold standard.

I'm pretty sure RPI set the 'gold standard'.

It is suspected that the difference between the Williams football/track/lacrosse/field hockey facilities-to-be and the RPI counterpart facilities will be best characterized by the difference between Williamstown and Troy.

That could be taken so many different ways.

dlip and others (he feels) would be hard pressed to find anything that is more impressive than RPI's set-up. Yet a question lingers in dlip's mind. Will Williams have more fans attend games in their new stadium than RPI? That won't be hard for the Ephs. Basically, if more people show up to a Williams game than the number of students in RPI's band their attendance will far surpass that of RPI's on any given Saturday.  ;D

Are there wine glass holders on the seats at Unions facility?  Who spilled the Chardonnay?

Word on the street is that Amherst admissions has demonstrated significant latitude academically with respect to some incoming football recruits.  Williams alum must be particularly dismayed.....  Any other news out there?
