Nice road win for Utica but the jury is still out. They're living on the edge and I love it!  Bring on the E8 carnage!

As was Witt-Ithaca in the '75 Stagg Bowl, I believe.

OK.  I love Bashdad's passion.  His pre-Witt and pre-UWW posts are some of the best prose I have ever read on any of the boards.
Don't get me wrong, I am pulling for a Wabash win tomorrow, however, if they win, it will be, by consensus, a huge upset.
Dad, saying that your program is national-level doesn't, unfortunately, make it so.  National level teams don't lose to "second-tier" (your words) teams like Wittenberg.
National-level teams have bad games against inferior teams and still get the W.  National-level teams find a way to beat everyone they meet deep into the playoffs and earn that trip to Salem.
Until you do that, all your prose will be more than just wishful thinking/"God's truth"/fiction.
Your numbers analysis is interesting, but what does it truly mean?  You held Witt to what, 60+/157?  How did that work out for you?
Anyway, go fight, like you "always" do, Wabash, and good luck tomorrow.  Prove me wrong.  I seriously hope you do.
We'll be watching.  The entire NCAC, and many others are pulling for you.

Sorry 'Rule, not if Utica takes care of business!

Getting the home-and-home with JCU was another in a long history of good scheduling moves for Fisher.  JCU seems to be looking to take the next step.
OAC teams are even more constrained in scheduling OOC games (they get one per year) than E9, so there only so many opportunities
for schools like Utica or even Fisher to get a game like that on their schedule.
Unfortunately, I doubt that programs like JCU are lighting up Blaise's phone looking for a game.
If UC could ever become more competitive in the E9, that might change.
BTW Bombers, sorry, I mistook the "rear view mirror" comment as criticism.  Thanks for setting me straight.

Look, I'm not trying to knock anyone's program or scheduling here.
Fisher always plays quality OOC opponents.  That's called competing
successfully on a higher level.
By lay-ups, do you mean Union, RPI or Hobart?  Aside from St. Lawrence (defending conference champ when they first played them in 2011,) Misericordia and Lewis & Clark, (both of whom were scheduled out of necessity when St. Lawrence backed out,) that's who UC has played the last three years.
I'm curious who else you think they should schedule.  Four games against teams ranked in the 2013 Pre- and/or Post-Season Top 25 wasn't enough?

Blaise made a very deliberate move away from playing the Castletons and Beckers, scheduling LL teams as non-conference opponents the past three years, including Hobart.
St. Lawrence subsequently backed out of their arrangement with UC, leaving them to scramble for a game with Lewis and Clark last year.
Sometimes you have to schedule whoever you can get a game with.
I don't see anyone knocking Brockport for playing Oberlin or Fisher for playing Alfred State.

Suit's at the dry cleaners......

That is disappointing but Mount is still Mount until someone beats them.....
And agree Wally, until someone figures out how to run on Mount, Mount rolls.

Wondered about that when we were there this fall...

That's some impressive sarcasm and believe me, I'm an expert. +k

Not sure how you can say the conference is down when the last place team lost to the two
playoff contenders by a total of 6 points....

Ditto emma, was composing just about the same post when you put it out there

SJFC. You can expect large doses of Mr Webb.  Stop him and you may be smiling.
