Wow, I don't know who is ahead of him but Kelson Brown was productive at AA last year.  Surprising to see him on a short season roster

Is he injured or a position change?  Or is there some other reason they would want him to go from AA down to Short Season Roster?

Position Change??
This... is a simple game. You throw the ball. You hit the ball. You catch the ball.  "There are three types of baseball players: those who make things happen, those who watch it happen, and those who wonder what happened."

Could have been a procedural move. He's now listed back at Double-A today.

It is nice see Kurt Yacko (Chapman) get signed by Pirates after being release by Rockies

After 5 season in the minors his numbers are:
217 Games
294 Innings Pitched
ERA 3.31
9.7 strikeouts per 9 innings

Albright's Casey Lawrence pitched 9.2 innings of shutout ball in a no-decision last night.
Lawrence followed up with eight shutout innings in his next start. He leads the FSL in ERA and WHIP by decent margins.

The Twins promoted Drew Leachman to Advanced-A from Single-A.

The Diamondbacks released Nelson Figueroa.

OshDude

The Diamondbacks re-signed UW-Whitewater pitcher Rob Coe. The D-Backs released Coe in March.

Albright pitcher Casey Lawrence was named the FSL Pitcher of the Week for games ending April 28.

OshDude

The Diamondbacks released Keystone first baseman Yazy Arbelo. UW-Whitewater's Rob Coe replaced Arbelo on the Advanced-A Visalia roster.

The Athletics signed free agent Grove City pitcher Erik Arnesen and assigned him to Double-A.

Thought I'd give a shoutout in honor of Ryan Cavan, who's currently 2nd in batting average (.324) for San Jose and 5th in all of the California League in that category--

David Colvin (Pitzer College, a former Pomona-Pitzer Sagehen) continues to put up good numbers in the hitter-friendly California League, playing for the High Desert Mavericks who are the Seattle Mariners High-A affiliate.

He has a 3.28 ERA in 24.2 IP (13 appearances), with 27 Strikeouts vs only 6 walks. He seems to be doing his best out of the pen, fastball velocity has been consistently in the low 90's, up to 93 with a great splitter. He's also got a cutter that he's working into his arsenal.

Speaking of Ryan (he is having a great season!!), in their only matchup so far this year on May 12th Colvin struck Cavan out swinging :) I'm sure there will be more meetings between the two this season, though, unless either gets called up!
