BIG games are between 2 contending teams...Brandeis is not a contender...

Honestly, neither is NYU...except on paper.

At this point, every game Rochester plays is big.

Apparently NYU reads D3hoops. LOL

That NESCAC game will also decide the conference winner.

If Trinity wins, they win the conference, if Trinity loses & Amherst wins, Amherst & Trinity tie for the conference with Amherst winning the tiebreaker, if Trinity & Amherst both lose, Trinity wins the conference.

No, not a contender...

They lost by 12 to Rochester so while technically in contention for the title, they are going to need to win out over Chicago, Washington University and Brandeis on the road and hope that both Carnegie (2-9) and Case Western (3-8) trip up both Emory and Rochester next weekend.

Not going to happen.

Now they aren't a contender but at the time of making it a big game, I agree it was a big game.

I get you hopefan, big is subjective and you'll never please everyone.

Hopefan and I are friends...he knows I am just giving him a hard time.

Rochester had two big games this weekend.

NYU is currently still a contender, but they had a much harder road than both Emory and Rochester and it got harder today.

The confluence of events as you described seems too unlikely, unfortunately for NYU.

Weather influences the big games again! http://gobrockport.com/news/2016/2/16/MBB_0216163830.aspx

Brockport vs. Cortland game postponed until tomorrow. Should be interesting as that means Brockport will play 3 out of 4 nights.
