I reckon that's pretty solid poll.  The top four are pretty straight forward but then there is some real work after that.

I don't know enough about the ARC teams but I wonder if Wartburg is the top or if Simpson is.  It's a line ball, that's for sure.

Ir could be Dubuque. I threw in for them.,

That is worth some +karma from this corner.

Another week and another tough job for the pollsters.  Where do the Tommies belong after the GAC game?  Where does Dubuque go before the match against Wartburg?  The Linfield scare?  With UWO out, what does that say about the WIAC?

Not easy at all.  Tricky season this year.

Badly jinxed all 3 SCIAC teams that I unwisely ranked at #10 this season. 😎 My final one, CMS Stags, lost to the Pomona Pitzer Sagehens today which means that CMS now shares the SCIAC Championship with Redlands Bulldogs. Best of luck to the Stags who will be going to the playoffs for the first time in well over a decade.

Pomona Pitzer had one of its best seasons in recent memory, losing just twice in conference play by a total of 6 points. Redlands did a lot better than I had expected with a relatively young squad, so the Bulldogs will be returning nearly 3/4 of their starters. Last but not least, well done Occidental to show the grit needed to overcome the disappointment of forfeiting 2017.

Congratulations to all in the West Region for a scintillating season. Also congrats to Pat Coleman, Josh Smith and the D3 'Kickoff 2018" crew who accurately predicted the top SCIAC teams and even called that its champion would suffer a defeat in conference games.

Of course, we West Region Fan Pollsters owe a ton of gratitude to "02 Warhawk" for his indefatigable efforts and exceedingly good-natured running of this!

Cheers!

Ha! I think you're giving me too much credit. I just enjoy doing it because it gives me a break from doing actual work while in the office.

But thank you!

On a side note, I'm still waiting on one more poll before releasing this week's. I'll put it out tomorrow, with or without a certain Wartburg fan's entry  ;)

Another good year of ranking. Thanks all.

(And I look forward to seeing the Johnnies run the table in the last ranking of the year post-Stagg)

Maybe they will be ranked behind UWW in the Final Poll if they win the Stagg. Since they are "ranked" above UWW in both the West Region Fan Poll and the d3.com poll, but are "ranked" behind UWW in the NCAA rankings.
