Bartman,
The "beast of the east" looks like a complete team- one worthy not only of their ranking but worthy of serious national championship discussion.
Its been a long time since Rowan was in a similar role.
I hope for the best for my cardinals, and wish brockport well as they strive for the championship---then we can buck this trend ;D

Congrats to all you Fisher guys. No "0-fer" this season.  As for my Union Dutchmen...sadly a giant step backward.  :'(   Looking forward to a future Dutchmen/Cardinal matchup.

No 0fer this year- and Im sure that the kids are glad that they got the win, but the Cards have a lot of work to do (and healing) in order to get another elusive W.
MVille came to play and beat a decent UC team.  There are really no gimme wins...period

They were epic for sure- But it seemed that you got the better end of the stick---especially those crazy shootouts
Fisher will be back....Not this year, nor the next, but soon.

Well here we are.
0-4
Fisher couldnt leave Utica fast enough.
What a horrible showing.
Sad really, I would plan a year in advance to go see Fisher when they came up here to trounce UC.
Im not for a complete rebuild at Fisher, but man, at what time do you make the decision to fish or cut bait?

The program is broken.
This season is another loss.
Its painful to watch-
and before Bombers starts screaming at me for being oooh poor me and the sky is falling, I think I have kept a pretty even keel.It is very difficult to have your Alma Mater go from zero to hero, back to zero again.  The climb was long and fruitful. The decline was fast and painful.

Fisher comes to me this weekend- Playing in Utica.
Of note- Jake Thompson isnt listed on the the 2 deep- Any idea why?
I hope for a much better showing than last week- but Utica is no slouch- and if they dont clean up turnovers 0-4 is legit.

Geez upstate- Even I can see some rays of sunshine.
Its not all doom and gloom.
Agreed that it was not a great performance on many levels but I saw a better team than last year - that is certain.
Will we win more than 2- Yes
Will we be .500 probably not but I wouldnt count it out.

Bill,
I'd like to think  that this Fisher team is better than an o-fer season--but I'd also like to think that a turnaround like Union did is possible if not this season- then most assured next.

Perhaps i should have said gun ablazin.
Michaels arm was what kept Fisher in the game against IC.
I realize that my optimism is skewed because Im a homer but - clean up a few things and Fisher can hang with the better teams in the E8 and LL
Will they fix those "few things" i dont know.
But I will tell you this- I would like to have optimism rather than stare at another 2-8 season

It will not be close at all. Brockport has way more talent, they are at home, and are coming off a bye. This is not a good matchup for SJF.

I will respectfully disagree and here is why.
While I understand that Brockport is extremely talented and highly ranked, this seems to be a different Fisher team than last years disaster.
The D seems to have shored up and the offense (minus a stable running attack) has come out guns ablazin.
Do not forget that it is the courage bowl- and crazy things happen.....Close games when in all reality they shouldnt have been.
Do I concede that Brockport wins-most likely.
Do I think its a 48-0 blowout.
NO

Brockport is a great team- no doubt, however after seeing the game last week- Im not sure it will be the drubbing that you make it out to be bports.
Ithaca is a good team and there was every reason for Fisher to not only be tied but win that game.
This one will be closer than you think.

I didnt go to homecoming this weekend and watch the game- but caught some online.
What were some takeaways that you all saw from the IC Fisher game?
I saw positives and negatives, but the one thing that was encouraging was that Fisher didnt quit.
They were in the game- hell should have tied it near the end.
IC is a quality squad.
So first W&J- not such a great measuring stick as we had no idea who this Fisher team was.
IC- better pulse of the team, but still question marks.
Bport at the Courage Bowl could tell a lot (even if they lose) about where the program is headed.
That said- what is going on at QB- I didnt watch enough to find out why Jake was on the bench

Boob- the way Fisher played game one- and the way UC is playing we could be staring at 0-4 to start.
This week could tell us a bit more on how we match up with quality teams for sure!

So here we are with week 2 for Fisher's murderers row portion of the schedule.
Week one W&J-no.13
Week two - IC no.25
Week Three Bport no.4
Week four UC- much improved and beating solid teams and nearly knocked off RPI

We can easily be looking at an 0-4 start to the season.
