Since the politics board was shut down there don't seem to be any really inappropriate subjects here (except ad hominem attacks), so congratulations to her.

HAPPY EASTER

to all my friends on this board. What a great day this is! ✝
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

Happy Easter all!

As inconsistent as the Mount offense was, it's good that these young guys faced a defense throwing everything at them now. They need to feel that speed from a defense coming at them.
Also very encouraged to see Coach Ely mixing things up and making good in game adjustments so far. I'm not sure if all of the defensive players are playing (O'hara, Bowler, Brunson, etc) this spring, but conceptually things seem to have improved. I do feel like most of the offense is playing other than Reed at WR and some upperclassmen Oline, am I missing anyone? I can't wait for fall!

Are there any concerns about the lack of production by the offense vs. Marietta?

I know 20-3 is a good victory for most, but not what we are used to (or I expected vs. Marietta).

I read on Twitter that Marietta was down 6 starters to Covid (5 on offense and 1 on defense).  That might also explain how dominant Mount was on the Defensive side of the ball.

MTU has some young OL, but they seemed to handle Muskingum and John Carrol well enough.

Am I making a mountain out of a molehill?

What better time that this shortened season to get in-game experience for young offensive linemen.  After April 19 th they will have all summer to build strength and get ready for a real season.  The defense is always ahead of the offense early in seasons, and I have seen some really good performances from newcomers.  They are rotating a number of d-linemen which they always do and I think that Dartt and Ely are wisely using this spring to size up some kids for down the line.

What's going on with Mount Union's kicking? I noticed that they missed 3 extra points.

Low snap on the first, holder couldn't get the ball set.  I don't remember what happened on the other two.

Mount Union Wrestling Coach Josh Malave has accepted the HC position at CWRU.  He seemed to have a good thing going at MTU.  Why the move I wonder?

Sign of the times with the turnover of Administration (President and AD) at Mount Union?

I'm reminded of the job applicant who forgot to do one last spell check on his resume--it read "party-timer" instead of "part-timer" (Another one for the "How's that again?" dept.)  Also, isn't the wife right most of the time anyway?

Last year Mount's Soccer coach took the same position at CWRU.

He had a great thing going at Mount.  Sad to see him leave.  That's a tough gig.  Just ask Hawald who was the wrestling coach before Malave and also left Mount for CWRU.  He quickly shuffled over to JCU after a short stay at CWRU.

hsbsballcoach7

You guys know I just missed my wife, right?? Haha talk about sloppy

I came here to see why Coach Malave left as well. I saw he's from Cleveland, but is CWRU a step up? Mount's had a good wrestling program for a long time, so is it the turnover in administrators that is pushing him?
