I wonder if its the fact there are 15 or so co-defendants, some of which may be black.  If you knew much about the Pepper Pike address, its Myers.

Good news for UWW  fans, Myers looks to break Coppage's felony record for D3 All-Something players.

It is absolutely him.  Born in '92 and a Pepper Pike address.  Come on. It should make one re-think the Pitt stories that I posted and got berated.

Is there anything Tom Arth won't overlook in order to beat Mount? It sucked for Roman, who was later acquitted, but LK/VK handled that situation appropriately.

QuoteRepresentatives from all 32 NFL teams (plus Bruce Gradkowski!) attended Toledo's pro day workout this morning

QuoteJohn Carroll QB Mark Myers was scheduled to work out but didn't attend. Players from Toledo, JCU, Notre Dame College, Findlay & Mt Union did

JCU's Golden Boy has been quite busy, so it took a little more than 3 minutes.

The dates of the Cuyahoga County case are particularly intriguing.

it was directed more at the post above yours.  No argument.  Back to talking about the greatest Wesley College football team ever

No, I want to hear more about how Mount Union is unstoppable at home...again.  Please.  With irrrefutable statistics.....again.

-Ski

does 70-0 count as irrefutable?  If you take away 31-0 and 70-0, it would be 80-31 Wesley.  What a program.  Loved Coach Drass' quote after the game.

JCU still sucks.  Myers would "blow" a game against Wesley

Sounds like Mount has never seen a team like Wesley before....sounds familiar

Hopefully the Wolverines will make enough mistakes so Mount can have a shot at winning on Saturday.  I can't believe how lucky Mount has been to play so many games against teams not playing smart football.  It's flabbergasting

Come on now, that's not what I'm talking about.  Besides, we know how it works out when you drop the ol Mt. hasn't seen a team like you know who before.

You were the one last year, if I recall, that was all about teams peeing down their legs in fear of Mt.
Mt is great enough on their own that they don't need help from the competition making stupid mistakes.  That's all I'm saying.  To have a chance at Mt, eliminate the unforced errors because Mt is too good at forcing them.

Clever to bold everything in my statement except "like 99% of d3" to help your opinion.  Thanks for the d3 website and coverage but what a joke

Maybe you missed the first part of UW-O, it's UW meaning they are part of the mighty WIAC.  How else can we make sure that the WIAC is the best conference without a second team in the postseason?  UW-O did beat UWW once btw.

I think this is what is meant by trolling.  I don't mind because I want to ask you a question Suit.
Who gives Mt Union a better game this year- Wash and Jeff or NCC?
I realize W&J isn't a Pool C, but the point is valid.
[/quote]

neither gives enough of a game to make an argument.   Like arguing which is worse to step in cat or dog yit? Both are no good.  I was simply defending the SEC...er....WIAC.

Mount has never streamed games, likely the lone d3 team with a tv deal.  No matter how upsetting it is to people in MN or such.

Mount Union DID stream two of their home games this year.  I paid to watch the Mount Union vs. John Carroll game via Boxcast ($9.99).

The video feed cut out during mount union's last drive, right before they scored so I didn't get to see the drive nor the JCU attempt to spike the ball at the end.

Feed was decent while working, had Tate, Paidas and Ballard announcing.

never streamed free like 99% of the rest of D3.  Pat and the gang love to rip Mount for not giving away a product that people are willing to pay for.  If its on tv, its not going to be given away by Mount.  I dont believe Mount TV is covering the game, sounds like JCU is trying to make a buck for their last game of the year

Cannot charge for an NCAA postseason game. That is indeed the rule.

I never ripped Mount Union for offering pay-per-view, nor when Linfield does the same. Barking up the wrong tree there, suit.

I know little about the current committee, for all I know, they may fit the bill perfectly for the process I'd prefer to see in place.  The problem currently is, and I believe Wally confirmed this (and please Wally, feel free to correct me if I misunderstood your point), the current National Committee doesn't want to or isn't comfortable with the idea of overruling the regional committee rankings in an effort to get who they feel would most enhance the playoff pool.

Why should they?  Why would we expect the national committee to have a more informed opinion of the teams in specific regions than the regional committees whose purview is focused very specifically in those regions?  Those regional committees are important because 8 people can track and rank 60-ish teams much better than 8 people can track and rank 240-ish teams.  You undermine the entire purpose of delegating those regional rankings if you just redo their work at the last minute anyway.  This isn't a thing that I think is ever going to happen- a massive reordering of the final regional rankings.  There needs to be a pretty egregious error in the rankings (like a committee overlooked a h2h result or something like that) in order to tinker too much with those ranking sets prior to selection.

I am not suggesting only teams from the WIAC or power conferences should get the Pool C.

Actually, you kind of are.  And if that's not what you mean, then you're not saying it very well.

Quote from: emma17 on December 03, 2014, 12:08:44 PM
What I am suggesting, and I understand you probably won't agree with me (and you can do so without all caps), is that in the decision process of the committee (whomever that should be), they should consider pedigree.

Define "pedigree" in a way that doesn't exclude everybody except those in the power conferences that you swear you're not building a system to support.

Quote from: emma17 on December 03, 2014, 12:08:44 PM
Yes, I understand your point that if a team doesn't get into the playoffs they'll never build pedigree.  My answer to that, which is rather cold I know, is that you build pedigree by winning your conference and getting the AQ.  You can also build pedigree by beating teams in the regular season that have playoff pedigree.

Back to Sagan...just because a team doesn't have a pages-long playoff history, doesn't mean they aren't good enough to be in the playoffs.  You want to build a system that perpetuates the inclusion of the same handful of teams over and over and over without giving anybody else a fair shot and you're disguising that discrimination under the mask of "pedigree".

By the way, what exactly is Oshkosh's "pedigree" that is supposed to get them an EZ Pass into the tournament?  They've made the tournament exactly once ever.

Maybe you missed the first part of UW-O, it's UW meaning they are part of the mighty WIAC.  How else can we make sure that the WIAC is the best conference without a second team in the postseason?  UW-O did beat UWW once btw.

I think there is a rule, but you would have to convince JCU that they are not above the NCAA rules.  Trust me, it's a chore.  If JCU doesn't believe,  then it's a stupid rule.

LOL -  Your hatred for JCU is deep, my man.  I feel the same way about MSJ, even though we don't play them anymore.

Anyhow -- this really made me LOL at work.  People think I'm crazy, I'm sure.  +K

Now, please pray for Lauren Hill.  Thank you.

JCU will not matter one bit to Mount fans after Saturday for a few more years, again.  Lauren Hill has cemented her legacy for years to come.

It appears that the game will be able to be purchased on the JC site for a price($9.95) guessing.    It is on Boxcast.

I wonder if JCU will get the same heat that Mount received about charging to view an online stream?  What do you think Pat?

Is that an OAC thing or something?
I though that NCAA rules stated that schools could not charge for online streams during the playoffs.

Before the UWW games started last week, I tried watching UMU/WJ but I didn't see a video feed available on the website.

I hope that there are 3 seconds left...

I hope that Arth has studied the rule book and knows where the scoreboard is at in Alliance.   I'm sure there's a third excuse but we'll cross that later
