It's early. But SNC leads UWGB 24-23 with 7:33 left in the first half.

Monmouth out to a 5-0 start, with five seniors logging the majority of minutes so far.  Let's do this!

SNC and UWO go to overtime....

SNC makes two FT with 2.8 left to take the lead, 96-95. UWO doesn't get a shot off.

SNC wins!

Ripon 80, Northern Michigan 75.

Still, it doesn't count.

SNC picked up a solid commit today from 6'6'' Appleton East F, Evan Glaser.

SNC best Stout tonight, 81-53.

That means SNC is 4-1 vs UW schools this year. Beating Eau Claire, Superior, Oshkosh and stout. Losing to Green Bay.

That's a good resume. Eau Claire's only other loss was to Wash U by one and Oshkosh was ranked #2(?) in the preseason. I still think Oshkosh will get it together and be in the WIAC hunt as well as a NCAA bid.

My research indicates this marks the first time in 55 years St. Norbert has beaten at least four different University of Wisconsin System schools in the same season. The Green Knights beat five during the 1964-65 season - UW-Milwaukee twice, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Whitewater, UW-Eau Claire, and UW-La Crosse in the NAIA District 14 championship game to go to Kansas City.

The Green Knights had beaten three different UW System opponents in the same season just twice since then - 1969-70 (UWM, UWO, UWGB 2x) and 1983-84 (UWM, UWL, UWO). The 1983-84 team just missed a fourth when it lost to eventual national champion UW-Whitewater in triple overtime in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Did last nights result in the Chicagoland calm any nerves for Titan Q and other Central teams? Probably not, but Green Knights sure looked impressive at Lake Forest last night, cruising 86-52. Ciriacks with 22 and Jordan Murphy with 20. SNC moves to 14-2, gets four straight at home now, has already won at Monmouth and Lake Forest, has a two game lead in the conference standings to host the MWC Tournament, but still does have the two Grinnell games yet. And anything can happen in those.

SNC is certainly an interesting team to follow on the national landscape in the final weeks.

Greek Tragedy

After opening the season with two losses, the Green Knights have rattled off 14 in a row. In those wins is an OT win over Oshkosh and a win over a good Eau Claire team that just beat my Pointers. They can win the MWC all they want and no one will bat an eye. They need to win in the NCAA tournament...on a semi-regular basis before anyone notices.

What's the capacity at the new gym?  With all the carnage across the CCIW and WIAC, we could see some hosting opportunities come SNC's way, right?  The SOS is solid.
