Does someone know why it shows Rockford as having the tie breaker over Marian in the standings as they both sit at 6-12?  Since they split the season series wouldnt the next tie breaker go to the best in conference win based on the standings, which would go to Marian with a win over #3 seed Alverno at this point? Unless i am looking at something wrong.
The NACC standings don't reflect tiebreakers at all until they put seeding numbers on it. Rockford is listed higher simply because their overall record is a better winning percentage. The standings sort themselves automatically by NACC record, overall record, alphabetically, in that order.

2/16, 18 guesses:

2-16:  Edgewood/Benedictine:   Toss-up--I'll go with WI Eagles
          Lakeland/CUC:                Muskies

2-18:  WLC/MSOE:                    Warriors-want to keep momentum going into NACC tournament

          CUW/Marian:                   CUW

Dominican/CUC:              Cougars get a win at home

          Rockford/Benedictine:      IL Eagles
          Lakeland/Edgewood:        WI Eagles

Aurora/Alverno:               Inferno pull out a tight one at home.

WLC: Warriors enter the NACC tournament on a strong note.
CUW: Alverno did what WLC did to CUW twice. Play smothering D. CUW bounces back.
CUC: Cougars put the Stars out of their misery.
BU: Regents NACC Tournament hopes are finally put out.
Edgewood: Eagles gain at least one home game for the tournament.
Alverno: Inferno finish the daily double by beating WLC and CUW once in the regular season. They take care of Aurora.

Well, well,  2 of Dominican's top scorers went off for a combined 50 pts to knock off CUC and keep from taking the total regular season O-fer in the NACC.

My NACC 1st round guesses:

I'm going with all the higher seeds. (BenU/Edgewood winner could very well make it interesting for WLC in the 2nd round-I don't expect the Warriors to go flat vs.Marian)

True. However after reaching the NACC Tournament Final two years ago, the Stars have gone a combined 2-48. Hopefully they can make a move upward in the near future.

My picks are:

WLC: Congrats Marian on making the NACC Tournament....Your opponent? The three time defending NACC Tournament champs.
Edgewood: Eagles find a way to win another close game.
Alverno: Inferno are hitting on all cylinders. MSOE is way too banged up to make a run.
Concordia Wisconsin: Falcons should win this handily.

My NACC semi-final guesses:

CUW

Edgewood in an upset of WLC  (which would put the Eagles in the tourney final for the first time since Megan Scheele was still in uniform for them)

My Picks:

Concordia Wisconsin: If the inferno want to break the WLC-CUW final (Which has been the case for a few years sans 11-12 season), they have to do it on the road.

WLC: Can't see WLC dropping this game. Yes Edgewood came really close to knocking them off at WLC last time but, if the Warriors stick to what they have been doing this season, they'll advance. The ten point win over Marian was a little deceiving. They got out to a 38-19 halftime score and coasted.

It worked.

Wisconsin Lutheran 72
Edgewood 55

Edgewood was up 35-32 at half but WLC took command in the second half outscoring Edgewood 40-20 in the second half. Schulz with 19 points and 16 boards.

It was the other matchup that was upset city.

Alverno 74
Concordia Wisconsin 64

Final-OT

Alverno denies CUW their third NACC Tournament Final appearance in four years with a big road win.

My NACC Tournament Final Pick:

Alverno (19-8, 14-6) at Wisconsin Lutheran (23-3, 19-1): This is Alverno's first time in the NACC title game. WLC has been there and done that. WLC get's their fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance but not without a fight from Alverno.

Final

No team led the other by no more than nine points during the entire game. Alverno got out to a 12-4 run to start the game taking advantage of cold shooting by the Warriors. However WLC managed to keep Alverno from running away with the game and had several chances to take the lead but turnovers and shots that refused to go down plauged them. By the end of the half they took a 28-25 lead into the lockerrooms. The second half was more of the same early on with cold shooting but WLC battled and took a nine point lead halfway through the game. However, Alverno refused to go away and roped in WLC within a few points before WLC took an eight point lead with less than two minutes remaining. The Inferno nearly pulled off another stunning comeback draining two threes with less than a minute left capitalizing on missed free throws by WLC. There was no overtime for the Inferno as their game-tying three point clanged off the rim with 4.5 seconds left and WLC ran the clock out for their fourth straight NACC Tournament Title.

Kristen Schulz led all scores with 18 points and nabbed 18 rebounds for another double-double. Devon Gorman led the Inferno with 14 points. WLC shot 39.7% for the game while Alverno shot 33.3%. Alverno finishes the season at 19-9 which their 19 wins is a school record for them while the Warriors go to 24-3 and wait to find out who they play tomorrow.
