He beat Oxy Collins with only one functioning ankle in the playoffs

WW, QB is the best I have seen on the West Coast in the last 5+ years. Watched the fourth quarter of the LF game and Chapman game. He has skills, throws on the run, checks down, moves well surprise he ended up in D3.

Best QB Whitworth has ever had and the best non-Linfield QB in the NWC since Chad Johnson at PLU (97-2000).  The NWC should be happy he's a one and done.

I'd like a time traveling machine to see Joel Clark in this offense (instead of Tully's), before I completely agree with this statement.

Man this is painful, because I think the UR season is over...as far as the playoffs go...

Our little out-of-the-way conference gets an automatic bid. That's it. Anyone who thinks the SCIAC will get two teams in the playoffs hasn't been around very long.

Sorry, UR. (Not really.)

OxyBob

I know you're becoming a bigger curmudgeon by the day...but UR has a very real shot at an at large if Linfield wins the NWC. Which, I hate to admit, looks likely with how Whitworth has played this season

That's the MLS stadium. St. Thomas' stadium is definitely not impressive

October 19, 2019: Linfield beats Willamette 96-7, setting a record for most lopsided victory in the history of the series

The Black and White jersey's are terrible and do not reflect the honored tradition of Linfield football.....and that was the consensus of everyone sitting around me in the stadium.  Here's hoping the staff is monitoring these Boards and return to the Linfield tradition!
i didn't hate them.  And if it helps them score 77 points they can wear Willamette jerseys for all I care....

Nobody wearing Willamette jerseys will be scoring 77 points any time soon...

Chapman wins. Wish I could have caught the game. Hopefully it's archived and I can watch it some time in the next few days.

In other news...The local chapter of the Linfield Wildcat Football Fan Club, just opened on campus at the University of Redlands.

Yeah neither Linfield nor Whitworth will have a pool C worthy resume, and that's assuming that the loser of that game doesn't drop another one in conference.

68-30 was the final

Well, it's early but Pios D stuffs the Rats offense on the first possession and then scores on a big play to take a 6-0 (PAT was not good) lead
Rats responds quickly with a TD on a 17 second drive--PAT is good.  Rats 7-Pios 6

3rd drive took em 2 seconds
So the misinformed announcers for the Linfield game somehow got ahold of the Chapman-Whitworth game and announced them as the Pios/Rat game with the Pios winning .......

The scoreboard page on d3football had it as a 44-41 win for the Pios for a bit. Then it updated

Whitworth up 35-6. 3 min left in the first quarter

Have had 3 scoring drives under 20 seconds. 2 that took less than 5 seconds

Teams hate having to travel to the IE.

I'd wager that SCIAC teams hate having to travel to MN/WI in November/December more than MN/WI teams would hate to travel to California.  For what it's worth, it's 65 and sunny in central MN right now, but they're predicting highs in the 30s and snow for the weekend.  :'(

A second SCIAC team will be happy to travel anywhere. :P

A second SCIAC team would almost certainly travel about 30 miles to play the other SCIAC team in Round 1.

With traffic it's probably more like 2 hours. But you're not wrong.

I think Redlands defense will be the difference. They should be able to score on Chapman and will do a much better job than Whitworth did of slowing down Chapman's running game.
