EAU has been good for several years now, I see no surprise there for a preseason affair.
#2
Massey conference rankings pretty accurate for this early... Whitewater River Falls Eau Claire.

What was the gist of his rant, they are gone now.

The St. Olaf schedule shows TBA games location Eau Claire WI on Dec 29th and Dec 30th (i.e. the Eau Claire tournament).
I believe that is what I said, but maybe you read it differently.

Just went through all of the schedules, wondering what they looked like. Tough non-conference schedules from Oshkosh and Point. Should be a great test for the league early. Most disappointed in River Falls and Eau Claire, especially because I think the Falcons should be among the league's elite. Maybe last years early season record kept them away from difficult scheduling.

Better to go .500 in non-conference against good competition or +.750 against bad?

Eau Claire opens with St Thomas and St Olaf is in Eau Claires winter tournament. Don't know what your disappointed with.

"1st pick Karl Anthony Towns is going back to Kentucky this summer to take kinesiology and business classes. "
UK already halfway through second summer session...

Big changes are still possible 3-6, not saying it will happen but if Eau Claire wins out, they can move as high as the fourth seed.
Hopefully it will be a little clearer tonight.

As things stand right this second, here are the seedings for the conference tournament:

#1. UWSP (13-1)
#2. UWW (12-1)
#3. UWRF (8-5)
#4. UWPlatte (8-6)
#5. UWOsh (6-7)
#6. UWLaX (6-8)

#7. UWLaX (5-8)
#8. UWSup (2-11)
#9. UWStout (0-13

UWSP and UWW have locked up the WIAC tournament bye and home court for round 2. We just don't know which is which yet.

UWW's remaining schedule:

2/14 Vs. River Falls (#3 WIAC 8-5; Last time: WW 67 RF 63)
2/18 Vs. Oshkosh (#5 WIAC 6-7; Last time: WW 78 Osh 59
2/21 @ Stout (#9 WIAC 0-13; Last time: WW 96 Stout 67)

UWSP remaining schedule:

2/14 Vs. Stout (#9 WIAC 0-13; Last Time Point 73 Stout 56)
2/18 Bye
2/21 @ Superior (#8 WIAC 2-11; Last Time Point 77 Superior 54)

Whitewater has a decidedly tougher go at it than Point. In addition to playing another game, they have to play River Falls, who gave them a good game last time out, though the game was on the shores of the mighty Mississip cagey St. Croix. And, as Tom stated, Evans will still be out on Saturday.

More later, perhaps... haven't even gotten to the interesting stuff.

A bunch of games tonight and tomorrow prior to this weekend's games.

Tonight
Viterbo at Eau Claire
Oshkosh at Edgewood
Superior at Minn.-Duluth
Whitewater at Hope

Tomorrow
Stevens Point at St. Olaf
Stout at Viterbo
River Falls at Hamline

Eau Claire turns a 7-point halftime deficit into a 64-57 win. Interestingly,  Mau plays just 12 minutes and Hjelter only 9 minutes. They are both starters and neither had a foul.

Oshkosh cruised past Edgewood 74-56 after leading by 15 at the break. Sean Dwyer had another solid game off the bench, leading Oshkosh with 17. Max Schabel was the only other Titan in double figures with 12.

Minn.-Duluth tops Superior 80-70. Lindblom had 17, Ketz had 14 while Schradle and Burch had 12 and 10.

Eau Claire box score is incorrect, doesn't add to 200 minutes. Both Mau and Helter played more than published.

Division 3 is for many schools tryout based. Many coaches cannot finalize the the roster yet.

Over the last three halves of BB, it is very obvious the Tommies are not the same team without Tengwall. It will be interesting to see how they do if he comes back less than 100%.

Heard yesterday that Parker Hines will be out for the year, unconfirmed so far from any other source.

Ok I'll bite. Unconfirmed or not, can you share with the board the reason/s why Hines is out for the year?  I can't recall the specifics, but several years ago he was out for an extended time due to a fairly serious health condition.

If Hines is not available, Augsburg chances of dethroning UST become a little slimmer this year. The Dawgs did defeat UW-Superior 80-73 last night & are now 3-0 on the season.  I expect the Gusties will defeat Um-Morris this afternoon & will also be 3-0. Cord got smoked by UM-Moorhead 102 -55 last night.  Several bright spots was SO forward Jordan Bolger -  16 pts  on 7-10 FGA, 2-4 FTA, 4 rebs, and FY Austin Hawkins had another solid showing as he scored 8 pts 4-8 FGA, 5 rebs.

I also read in Thursday night's SJU UM-Morris game summary (Morris won 96-87)that Seth Marx and Mitchell Kuck are out with injuries and are not expected to join the team until after the Christmas break. Fortunately for the Jays, they'll still have a chance to work those two players back into the lineup for the bulk of the conference schedule.

I'm thinking there's not going to be a lot of separation between the top 6 finishers this year.

Can somebody give the scoop on Brycen Wojta from Bethel?  As a FY, he's led the Royals in scoring in their first two games of the season.  He scored   21 points for the 2nd time this season as Bethel defeated UW-Eau Claire 74-67. Also, is 5-10 FY Trevor Hall from Blaine the much shorter, younger brother of former Bethel star Taylor Hall?  Hall had 14 points last night.

Medical issue is what I heard.

Jon Veil still has a year of HS left, many JV players aren't listed yet, don't know why.

And after your earlier post I had an earlier post. Eight players now added ;)
