Be sure to bundle up and bring those ponchos if you're coming to Belton for the game. Forecasts are showing highs between 40-46, and rain chances between 50%-60%.
i wonder if there will be a repeat of the North Carolina Weslyan game when NCW came to Texas thinking it would b warm and had no cold weather gear for the rain soaked 36* day

Man I hope not, that was terrible. Felt so bad for the NCW guys who also did not have any cold or wet gear.
i felt kind of bad for them, but at the same time how do you make that trip without cold weather gear in November. Use the internet. The forecast was right.

I must say even though we had our big coats and ponchos that game was still pretty miserable to sit watch. I sure would not have wanted to be one of the guys from NCW. By the end of the 3rd qtr it looked as if they had given up completely. If I remember correctly not once in that game did NCW cross onto our side of the 50.

I like it, Toby!  ;D That said, I think my Tube Brother days are in the rear-view mirror. Oh, if only we had CRU football back in the day, we would have been the most formidable, fun student section in the ASC, especially in The CRUthedral. Can you imagine Phi Tuba Luba seated near the opposite team's bench? It would have been a riot.

Now that we are on the subject: I think a saw an older gentleman decked out in a get-up that featured purple tights at the LC game. Pretty wild.

Looking forward to the road trip. We will be departing from Central Louisiana around 4 pm on Friday. Four of the Boggs Bunch will be flying low and arriving in Central Texas around 9ish. Looking forward to a great time on campus and celebrating UMHB's first playoff win in The CRUthedral on Saturday.

It is already very evident that it will require great effort to stay focused on the task at hand during the playoffs. Pray for me folks!

UP with the PURPLE!
y'all have a safe trip. I think I'm leaving early Saturday morning and it'll be a day trip for me. I remember there were thoughts of recovering the Tubes my freshman year during basketball season. we all dressed up and we got smoked by 50+. That was the end of that. That said, the CouchCru is nice, but the Tubes and Cru Football would have been fantastic.

Couch Cru is not what it once was. Banging on cans, shaking huge noise makers, finding out information about the opposing team's QB, RB, or whatever and yelling it at them. Those were the days. If only it were still that way.

Facebook and twitter made this very easy to do. ;D

Being a recent graduate, my friends and I still like to get a little rowdy at the games but not anywhere close to when we were still students. I guess graduating and getting married really does change you.

I know I'm probably being way too impatient but do we have an ETA on the playoff capsules yet?

My favorite reads come playoff time!

On our podcast Frank rattled off his guesses on seedings as follows:

1. UMU
2. UMHB
3. Bethel
4. UWW
5. Linfield
6. NCC
7. Hobart
8. JHU

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ith/2013/11/18/in-the-huddlle--liberty-league-football-talk-show

Appears to be:

1. UMU
2. UWW
3. UMHB
4. Bethel

Mary Hardin-Baylor is in the exact same spot that Mount was in last year and Mount was the number 2 overall seed. So if they went by how they did it last year it's

1. UMU
2. UMHB
3. UWW
4. BETHEL

When reading a normal playoff bracket the 1 overall is USUALLY placed top right and the 2 overall is bottom left. This would indicate UMHB is 2.

When looking at the 2011 and 2012 brackets the 1 and 2 have been placed at these spots.

However, we all know the NCAAs brackets tend to be a little odd at times. Either way im excited to see how everything plays out.

I know I would have loved to go to some of the games in the past few years but being from Texas and without my team being in it would definately not have been smart on my wallet. Having Heard how good the expreience is in Salem makes me feel like it should stay there so I can one day make my way up there and enjoy the experience. Of course if the game came down here to Texas I sure wouldn't mind.  :)

Was it just me or did UMHB run a few plays in the wildcat formation during today's game?

How about thme Cowboys!!!! Dragging them in Shelton never gets old!!! I believe that's 10 strait for the Cru!!!! Is this even a rivalry anymore? :o
We used to ask that question about the HSU-McMurry games, too.

It is actually the 12th straight for UMHB against hsu. Most forget to add the 2 playoff victories from 06 and 08 in the streak.

I figured it to be a closer game but The Cru was just dominant. Only worries were the early turnovers from the first half. They keep this up it will be another exciting ride in the playoffs.

UMHB is ranked #7 in the preseason poll. Very interested to see how they will do this season. Hopefully with this years seniors who have started for 2 full years they will be able to lead the team to big things again this season. Also, I'm sure Concordia will be looking to get some revenge after winning the conference yet getting beat so early in the playoffs... Should make for a very interesting season.

Jerrell getting a lot of love tonight. Even being the "Gruden Grinder" of the game tonight. Jon Gruden trying to get the nick name "Little Ray"' for Jerrell in honor of him playing like Ray Lewis.

From what I'm told a UMHB Alumni who is a DJ mixed the music specifically for the games.

The dance is officially known as The Cru dance.

Word going around the school is there will be a Fireworks display after the UMHB v Wesley game.

Cant wait for Sept 21st!

GO Cru!

Cru fans, what do you think the incremental increase in fans will be with the onsite facility,...gone from playing at a HS in front of 3000 folks to happening place for the kids...I hope to make it there next year...

Even though the drive was less than a mile away many students didnt have the desire to get in their cars and go to Tiger Stadium. With a Stadium now on campus those same students may now decided to go along with their friends and attend the game.

I believe the first few nights games will have a significant increase in attendence. Although i do imagine once the 1:00pm games begin the crowd may die back down but not to the point to the late season games at Tiger Field.

What a great time in Atlanta. Wished we could have pulled out the win but it wasn't meant to be.

I was intreviewed by a member of thr Atlanta Journal before the game. His first question came with a look of absolute shock asking if Mary Hardin-Baylor normally brings this kind of crowds to games. I responded by telling him that we absolutely love our sports teams and do our best to show up and support The Cru. I did however go on to say that even I was a little taken back by the turnout we had.

Very proud of the run the team had this season and look forward to seeing if they can duplicate this feat next year.

I absolutely loved having the game in the same location as the D1 Final Four. Although i have never been to a championship game in Salem, i cant imagine how the atmosphere could compare to the D1 location. Getting to go downtown and visiting Bracket Town, catching the Braves game on Saturday night made it one awesome weekend.

I sure hope the NCAA can find a way to make this the norm going into the future!

Also, it was great finally getting to meet Pat before the game started.
