With UWW coming down they will welcome and be ready for the challenge. But remember, having the game in Belton didn't work out the last time either (2008 semis). Either way I'm sure the Cru will be as classy as always, hoping for a UWW win of course though but UMHB is an elite team.

Sadly it hasn't matter where the game has been, I am just happy I will be able to see the game in person. I will return the compliment by saying Whitewater fans were classy as well in Whitewater and Belton.

It's supposed to be in the 50s and overcast next Saturday in Belton. No precip in the forecast to keep me from driving down. Ready for a semifinal in the CRUthedral! Looking forward to seeing some Whitewater folks. A 2:30 start means time for tailgating and Schoepf's.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

If Schoepf's is too busy, try Millers, by the Belton Journal and First Texas Bank.
We all hope that this is UMHB's time win!!!

Is the 2:30 pm CST start to accommodate TV broadcast of the game?

Football in Belton, Texas...
« Reply #15249 on: December 08, 2013, 01:33:38 pm »
I was very happy to see that UMHB will be hosting the National Semifinal game. I think that everyone will be a little more comfortable with temps in the upper 50's instead of wind chills near single digits! Also, the CRUthedral is a great place for football.

I welcome Whitewater to Belton and to enjoy their stay…but, don't be too disappointed when The Cru move on to the Staag Bowl!

Go Cru!

For the best BBQ in Belton you have to go to Millers BBQ as Dr. Bawcom mentioned. It's not all big and fancy like Schoepfs...but the chopped beef sandwich is huge, and way better than Schoepfs. Looking forward to the game...that is unless I have a new born in my arms. Good luck to the Cru and let's get over the UWW hump!!!!

What a great thing for the CRU!  We're getting our money's worth out of the new stadium.  It truly is a great venue!

Some plans altered and others confirmed: The Boggs Bunch will be flying low out of Central Louisiana Friday afternoon. We plan on a full game day experience throughout Saturday and into the evening and will depart for the return trip on Sunday.  8-)

Looking for to an epic battle in The CRUthedral!

Go Cru!

We will be fine. Enjoy the Staag Bowl. We won't be able to make it, though. UW-W will be busy meeting the NCC/UMU winner at the Stagg Bowl.  ;)

Just messin' with ya. I know it was just an honest misspelling. It gets easier to spell when you get there as often as we have.  ;D

+K. That is just a hilariously well done, if somewhat unoriginal, burn...
