Conference Realignments
« on: November 07, 2017, 12:55:19 pm »
In early June, there was the article on D3Sports.com about a new conference being created from CSAC and MAC members. When will those changes show on the D3Baseball.com conference pages? What will that do to the CSAC baseball members when Keystone, Centenary, Cairn, Summit, and Wilson (2018-19) are the only ones who support baseball?

Are there other realignments going on that have been publicized yet?

We have not rolled over to the 2018 season.  I hope to see this done by the end of November.

The CSAC will continue to get their at-large bid but like the WIAC will lose it if nothing changes.

I also saw that Pfeiffer will be a USA South member moving forward, dropping from DII status.

Jim is correct. The CSAC will hold their Pool A bid for 2 seasons and then move to Pool B.

In those 2 seasons, if they can acquire 2 more full or affiliate members, then they will retain Pool A status.

I also saw that Rust is no longer a DIII member, now an NAIA affiliate. Is anyone aware of others who are leaving DIII membership?
