The Boise St. game was a good one, them kids just might do it this year. I know they don't have much left on there schedule but they seem to play up for the bigger and better schools. We will see in January how they do.

As for the Wildcats, Can't wait for Saturday. Hit the road Friday evening. Will be ready for a longie about 11am. Can't wait to see everybody there. Parking lot behind bleachers still the place? Count use in.

Go Wildcats

Pound the rock baby

PPJ,

It was great having Simon umpire baseball for us this summer. A great young man to have the kids looking up to. He did a great job.

Many of us, I'm sure, were anticipating the emergence of Pacific back to football after a 19 year snooze.
Well, they roared back (IMHO) at Baker Stadium and did themselves proud in a re-start of football for the Boxers.
I'm really looking forward to this programs "Climbing the ladder" and  getting back to business in the conference.
This is all I could find to read about from the UPS-v-Pacific contest:
Carry on...

Yes, that was a solid performance by Pacific in their first game back, regardless of how UPS finishes the season. If Pacific turns out to be better than expected, the game versus Lewis & Clark could be interesting. I would think it would be a huge setback for the rebuilding Pioneer program if they somehow lose to the Boxers.

Yo Shotgun! Are you making a trip out West this fall?

Last weekend for my trip to McMinnville, OR for the Linfield - UST game, I stayed with Linfield poster swede. His guest room is becoming a veritable museum of Linfield and D-III memoribilia. He has stuff from all of the NWC schools as well as St. Johns, Gustavus Adolphus, Hamline, & Concordia Moorhead of the MIAC. He has stuff from Wisconsin Whitewater, Beloit, Coe, Wartburg, Mount Union, Cal Lutheran and McMurry. This is just the stuff he has put out so far.

Glad to see the vintage McMurry Alumni Association luggage tag with the Indian in ceremonial headdress displayed proudly!

Those are collectors' items now.

I like the autographed picture of Brad McKechnie.

Mt. Union sweatshirt on a guy in Sunriver, Oregon.

There was a kid getting in line for concessions at the St. Thomas-Linfield game wearing a Mt. Union hat.

Peoria, Arizona station checking in. I'll have my 'Cat gear on and watching the game via the internet. For you tommie fans, that there internet is the other glass square thing in your house that catches pictures from out of the sky. It's called a live stream....no, not what the river becomes when the spring thaw happens. ;D Anyway, everyone stay warm.

R&P, do you take in any spring training games?

It's a beautiful day in McMinnville. Great day for some football. I hope to see some of you at the game. Couldn't make the Deluxe last night.

I mean, was Rowan that bad of a team or did they just not show up?

I think it wasn't so much Rowan having a bad day, but that 2004 Wildcats squad was really peaking, they had crushed two previous playoff opponents. The defense had greatly improved from earlier in the season, and combined with the best offense in Linfield history, would bring the fourth national title(and first NCAA) back to  McMinnville.

Rowan looked slow that day. And the Butcher carved them up.

Did anyone find TDT wandering around PDX in his mom's tan coat and give him a ride to McMinnville?

I did see a coat like that. But Swede was wearing it.

The 'Cats were on fire that day. They had a purpose and played like it. Rowan wasn't bad after all it was a semifinal game. Probably the best I've seen the Wildcat "D" play. It was a beautiful day at the Catdome.

Bluenote is a great music man. Sorry I didn't get down to the Dirty D. I had some family stuff to do. I'm excited to see what happens tomorrow.  I say a game like Rowan back in '04. 'Cats 56 Tommies 0   ;D
Was Rowan really that bad? I don't remember it. I was a young one.  :D

It was 52-0 'Cats. Or was it 54-0 'cats? It was one of those.

RP,
They got the guy that did the shooting in Parkland.  Agreed makes no sense.  The guy that ownes the Forza chain is a friend of mine from here in the harbor.  Retired Gig Harbor police officer.
Too close to home for me, I was in one of his Tacoma Forza locations for coffee last week with a friend of mine.
  I guess you never know--do you !

Peace Out

GHC

GHC,

Where did you see that they caught the guy? Yahoo reports that he wasn't in the house where they thought he was.

I know this is a bit belated, but in the category of better late than never...

I was hoping for a different outcome, but wanted to extend congratulations to the Wildcats on their first round win over the Kingsmen.  I didn't make the trip, but I've talked to a few folks who did, and they came away extremely impressed with the Cats.

Sounds like the OxyBob.com forecast was correct - Cal Lu was more of a game control team this year, and when they got down big early it was too much to overcome.  I am looking forward to the rematch next September down here in Thousand Oaks - I'll guarantee a gay day temp between 75-108;)

Good luck to the Cats the rest of the way, we'll be pulling for our west coast brethren, hopefully for several weeks to come!
fixed--summer doesn't end till November down here :)

Don't know MC...here in Rancho Cucamonga Thursday forecast 81 degrees..sure wish summer would end so we could get into the low 70's  ;D

I love Rancho Cucamonga. I could go to work for the Quakes.
