Also, I am beginning to think I am the only one following the Central Region.
No, your prescience and insight are sufficient for the rest of us posters.   ;)

Ha! Doubtful, but thanks for the kind words, Ralph.

Does anyone have a time frame for the first NCAA Regional Ranking?

I am somewhat baffled by Spalding not being in there somewhere. Oh well, I gave it a shot.

That is indeed a puzzle.  The Golden Eagles are currently 27-7 overall and 14-3 in the SLIAC.

Webster and Spalding have a three game series at the end of the season and potentially two more if things break right in the SLIAC tournament.

Does Spalding (29-8) slip into the Regional Rankings this week?

Well, after the DH sweep by NPU over IWU, they probably need someone to replace IWU. :(

2. Webster
3. Carthage
4. WashU
5. Coe
6. Spalding
7. Wartburg

Based on IN-REGION games, I think you're pretty darn close.  I'll be honest, I have no idea what to do with Wash U when it comes to in-region games as I could only find a total of 11 for them.

My guess.

NCC  (22-2)
Webster (24-3)
Carthage (18-5)  Elmhurst losses really hurt here.
Spalding (16-4)
Wash U
Wartburg (14-5)
Coe (13-7)

BigPoppa

Agree... getting swept by Elmhurst may push Carthage down the list a bit, but I think no lower than 4th.

6. Spalding

Coe won't be ahead of Wartburg after having lost all three games to them in the last week.
