When was Shamir Johnson hurt?
Is he out for the rest of the playoffs?

Back from summer travel.  Ready for some football!
Is Tyler Holmes playing this year or is he hurt or did he graduate?
More on Wooster after tomorrow.

My thoughts are that NCAC teams are light years away from the Stagg Bowl.  To see Mt. Union and Whitewater tonight and know how many times they have each gotten there in recent years is mind boggling!
Overall talent is tough to beat.

Clearest stream of a game I have ever seen online--Mt. Union and John Carroll!
A little unsteady, but clear.

Quick question--is this the farthest Wabash has gotten in the playoffs? Can't remember if they have ever gotten to the next round.

Nope.  In the AQ era Wabash has been to the quarterfinals in 2002, 2007, and 2011.  Back in the day, Wabash was the national runner up in 1977.

So of all the current NCAC teams, only Witt has won a national championship?

Here in Wooster lot of questions about the last few games. Starting the best quarterback, statistically in Wooster history--would that not have given us a better chance of winning?  Of course it would have.
Let's see how recruiting goes.

UWW 10
Wabash 7

Half....

I'll take it... make some adjustments... find our passing game.... we are in it.

If Wabash wants to stay in the game it's their offense which needs to come alive. Their defense and special teams are keeping them in the game but the offense hasn't moved the ball really outside of one drive that ended in the fumble.

The adjustments out of half will determine it, UWW always good at those too.

EDIT: I don't know if you saw it bashbrother but there was good video of the 07 blizzard game shown before the game.

Good observations!!!!!

Who is WOObash?

Keith's take: Wabash 27, Franklin 17
Ryan's take: Wabash 41, Franklin 21
Pat's take: Wabash 53, Franklin 31
Consensus: How much scoring we expect varies, but the Little Giants should win this 4-5 matchup by double digits.

Everybody happy?

The Scots answered on the ensuing possession, as Muntean connected with Rice for 14 yards, Richard Barnes for 11, and Darrian Owens for 48, the latter tying it 14-14.

The above is from an article on Wooster's website about Saturday's loss to OWU.  Barnes came in as a receiver.  Great!
Below are quotes from our coach that appeared in The Daily Record, our local newspaper, on Sunday.

"It's hard to figure out what has happened in recent weeks as to why we can't run the football more effectively," Colaprete said. "That is so critical in our offensive scheme to be able to do that. We run the ball pretty well against Witt and Wabash, two of the better units in the country, then struggle with it in recent weeks. I can't put a finger on it. We're just going to have to do a better job all around, coaching and executing."
"I'm not sure if I would say this season has been as disappointing as it has been frustrating," Colaprete said. "We played really well at times, then seemed to take a step back. We've been playing a lot of young guys, and we just have to take the approach that our guys will be a year older, a year more experienced when we start focusing on next season.
"A coach once told me that you will lose as many games as you have freshman starters, and today we started six. We need to develop our younger guys."

Wow!  Last year's promise of things to come from this coach evaporated this year, but not just because of the losses. You still go with your best chance to win today.  And show the same loyalty and character demanded of players.
Puzzling.

Good luck to Witt and  Wabash!

Congrats to Hiram.
Witt and Wabash, represent!!
Richard Barnes, when the freshman QB who is given your starting position for the last couple games thanks you publicly for your help and friendship in an awkward situation, that speaks volumes as to your character. Has been a pleasure watching you these past 4+ years.

Am embarrassed for Wooster.  Barnes was returning kicks and got one carry in yesterday.
Thanks coach!

From The Wooster Daily Record today:

A lot has changed, however, since the Bishops and Scots closed out the 2013 season at Wooster's John P. Papp Stadium. Gone from the picture are a pair of record-setting QBs. OWU's Mason Espinoza graduated last spring after setting nearly every school and NCAC record, while fifth-year Wooster senior Richard Barnes has been relegated to the role of mentor for freshman Gary Muntean after establishing school marks for completions and yards passing in a career for the Scots.

The above quote was from the city's newspaper, not the school's student newspaper. Do not miss the nuanced sarcasm in the sportwriter's words, the same sportswriter who has been covering Mr. Barnes his whole time at Wooster.  I have not read one mention of an injury in any paper or talked to anyone on campus who knows of an injury.

Will be watching "the game" today from afar.  Good luck Wabash.  Trust a victory lands you in the big dance.

WOW! Hope he gets to play tomorrow. Always been a personable, friendly young man.
