Peaking ahead to the Leadoff Classic first week in March the following ranked teams are attending:

1,2,3,4,6,8,14,15,16,17,18,19,20 and two RV

That is 13 of the top 25 attending.  Not sure they have ever had that many ranked team attending.  Should be good.

#18 Belhaven took 2 of 3 from #4 ETBU on the weekend.

'21 runner-up Texas Lutheran swept its' season opening DH against Whitworth.

Game 2 - Etbu run rules Belhaven 8-0
Game 3 - Belhaven run rules ETBU 9-0

Currently folllowing BSC's weekend tournamet:

2/20/22 Final just in:  #13 MSJ 2, #1 DePauw 1 (All runs scored in 7th inning. First, MSJ pitcher McCool gave up a double and a Bratcher RBI, then DePauw's Henry, who'd been working a 1-hitter to that point, hit a batter, then gave up an RBI single and a walk-off RBI double).

That's Henry's second loss on the weekend, earlier she came on in relief against Huntingdon (picked for 2nd in USA South West division), and gave up a bases-loaded walk for the earlier loss

Homestanding BSC has yet to lose to this point.

All Top 25 ranked action elsewehere:  #17 Berry won big over #14 Piedmont yesterday, so that USA South squad will be looking to salvage a split later today.

UPDATE:  Piedmont got its' split, beating Berry 4-3 (lead run scored on 6th inning wild pitch, and Maloch induced a game-ending DP with 1 out and the tying run on base)

#5 BSC also lost 9-4 to Huntingdon--that one has just gone final.

Another final: DePauw over BSC 4-3 (Henry got the win, Bryan the loss)

MSJ went .500 on the weekend (LeTourneau put up a 3-spot in the 6th inning for a 5-3 win over the HCAC squad.

Here's a contrast for you:  TLU hosted, and swept NEWMAC favorite Babson in a DH yesterday; In the opener, the Bulldogs put up a 15-spot in the 4th inning.  In Game 2, they got two consecutive 2-out doubles in the second inning to score the only run of the game.

Positive Game 2 recovery for Babson.

3 6 22 Final just in:  #4 ETBU 6, ARV Coe 5

(This was a wild one late. ETBU gave up a 7th inning game-tying 3-run HR-hit by Coe's Shaylee Dodd, then the Tigers got a walk-off RBI single from Delanie Loya to get the win.)

Also, #13 MSJ knocked off Hiram 3-2. (HCAC squad's 4th inning 3-spot held up.)

CNU, Belhaven and Linfield still moved up either 9 or 10 spots, so justafan12 didn't do as bad as thought.

T-#24 Trine, after losing a 3-2 heartbreaker to Husson, gets off the schneid by beating Del Valley, 12-0. (Thunder's Amanda Prather - 3 RBI in the win -- another Thunder player who has slipped under the radar here her previous 2 seasons-outfielder Ellie Trine-chipped in with 2 hits and 1 RBI)

3/10 Region 6 Finals just in:  #17 Randolph-Macon swept a DH vs. #13 Berry, 4-3 and 2-1 (In both games. ODAC squad scored go-ahead run in the 5th, and it held up-Gracie Ellis and Railee Baughan, respectively, pitched complete games to get the sweep.)
