Rhodes takes advantage of a lead off hit by pitch, Covenant error, two bases loaded walks, and a bases loaded wild pitch to score 5 runs in the bottom of the 8th to come from behind and win 5-3, surviving another day.

Rhodes and BSC both get regional bids and will be playing at Piedmont! Good luck to both teams!

BSC defeats Rhodes 6-1 tonight.

Looks like it's do or die for the Lynx for the second weekend in a row!

Rhodes wins 12-2 after mashing 17 hits, and getting a stellar performance by senior Pat Kilkenny who came in after the lengthy rain delay and finished the game, giving up only one run in the process.

looks like i'll be at the SAA championships at BSC next weekend! ROLL LYNX

BSC defeats Millsaps to advance in the SAA tournament, and will host the winner of the Rhodes/Berry game currently playing.

After Rhodes took the first game, the second game was delayed by about 4 hours, and is finally starting back up. Rhodes leads 6-1 in the top of the 5th at a soaked Berry College field.

Crazy end to the Oglethorpe v. Berry game yesterday. Oglethorpe, down 4 in the top of the 9th, scores three runs to make it a one run game. With bases loaded and one out, Oglethorpe hits what should have been a sac fly to tie the game. Berry's left fielder catches the ball, runners take off, but BEFORE the tying run scores at the plate, Berry throws out the Oglethorpe runner trying to take third for the game-ending out. Berry squeaks out a victory by one run in one of the most bizarre endings to a game I've seen.

Berry v. Rhodes play in the matchup of winners from yesterday, as well as  BSC/Hendrix.

Millsaps, Sewanee, Oglethorpe, and Centre all play this afternoon to keep their season alive.

After squandering an early lead in both games yesterday, Rhodes takes the 3rd game from BSC 7-1. Looks like if Rhodes wants to make a push for a pool B bid, they're going to, at the least, make it to the SAA championship.

Rhodes and BSC both split their double headers today. Rhodes at Berry and BSC at home against Centre.

After losing 2 of 3 close games at Millsaps this weekend, Rhodes only drops one spot to #20 in the latest rankings. BSC climbs four sports to #11. Looks like the final weekend of regular season play with BSC playing at Rhodes might be what determines the #1 seed in conference tournament play.

Millsap's record isn't where it normally is at this point in the year, but playing in Jackson is never easy. This weekend will be the barometer of Rhodes' pitching staff for the rest of the season.

Last 5 games ... SU has 81 runs on 96 hits!

that's only ~16 runs and ~19 per 9 innings... What's the big deal?

Rhodes' success over spring break lands them at #25 in the latest poll, with conference foe BSC at #15.

Rhodes finishes up their spring break trip with a record of 4-1, improving to 15-5 on the year. The warm weather warmed up the Rhodes bats, which finally starting putting up big runs. The only loss of the trip came in an all-around ugly game to Franklin and Marshall.

More impressively, Rhodes picks up a 10-5 win against #23 Bridgewater, and wallops #3 Southern Maine 8-1 while getting another gem of a game from SP Blake Glauben, who throws a complete game, giving up 5 hits and 1 unearned run. Glauben improves to 3-1 on the year, dropping his ERA to 1.75.

Rhodes has the rest of the week off until they travel to Centre for another weekend of SAA play.

Rhodes completes the sweep on Oglethorpe, winning 2-0. Strong performance by the pitching staff, with reliever Max Halasz picking up another win. Pat Kilkenny had a solo homer for the Lynx.

I'll be stopping by the Birmingham-Southern/Covenant this game this afternoon as well, since one of my friend's little brother is scheduled to pitch for Covenant

missed the games last weekend, but Hendrix took 2 of 3 from Rhodes.

Rhodes wins the mid-week game against local Victory University, and sweeps the double header today against Oglethorpe. For the first time all season, Rhodes looked dominant and played to what is their potential. Combined score of the two games was 17-2, outhit Oglethorpe 27-4, and committed only 3 errors on the day.

SP Blake Glauben has another strong outing, going 7 innings, striking out seven, and giving up one hit. In game 2, SP Daniel Morris goes six innings, allowing only two hits and one run.

Rhodes is now 10-4 on the year, 3-2 in SAA play
