Hope @ WashU Tournament  Hope, Washington-St. Louis, unknown, unknown

In case you were curious, the unknowns in the Lopata Classic are the University of the Ozarks and UW-Whitewater.  Those games are scheduled for December 4-5.

If I had to guess, I would say that Hope and Whitewater match-up in the first round.

This seems like a decent time to discuss, anything else.
There seems to be some smoke on the horizon of the possibility of a major transfer from one MIAA school to another.
Enjoy
No hints at all?  Maybe the color of the smoke?
I'm guessing at least one of Hope, Olivet or Albion are involved on one end or the other given sac's intel history. An Alma to Olivet transfer makes sense given the Sam Hargraves connection. Hard to speculte too much based on uncertainty as what qualifies as major.
Hint #1 Does not involve a player leaving Hope (that I'm aware of anyway)

I was hoping this tease would play out faster... Do we get a hint #2?

Going to have to let this one simmer a bit.  Not quite a raging fire.

Jordan Harris from Adrian announced on twitter he'll be transferring to D2 Grand Valley State.

Originally I was told he was heading to another MIAA school.  Obviously a huge loss for Adrian, good luck to Jordan.

KnightSlappy

Really bad news for Adrian basketball. They were certainly the surprise success story of 2019-2020. Harris would have been on the league MVP watch list.

I wonder if that wraps up the Class of 2020 recruiting?
Any more prospects still being pursued?

Not sure about that.  Bill Sall tweeted this last night:

"Great news tonight!  Another tremendous addition to the Calvin Basketball family"

Could be a new recruit - this year or beyond - and I suppose it could be about something else like a new child born to someone connected to the program.

Knowing Bill Sall as I do, it could be all three of those possibilities.
But I suspect this is the one to which he was referring:

Uchenna Egekeze, 6-3, 190-lb, shooting guard from Huntley, IL, High School and an AAU teammate of prized recruit Luke Sheffers, will attend Calvin University.

At the very least, he'll be a tough matchup for PA announcers throughout the MIAA.

I've been trying to twitter-slueth this one going back to when Luke Scheffers committed and am glad to find my Beautiful Mind connection board in my shed did not let me down. He was a high school teammate of Ryan Sroka, who is headed to Illinois Wesleyan. Not sure if they were involved in his recruitment but maybe TitanQ can add some flavor to the discussion when he comes lurking around here. Apparently Egekeze held at least one D2 offer.

Trine commit:

Mason Loeffler    6'4    G   Evergreen HS, Metamora OH

Comes from the same High School that Coach Brooks Miller graduated from.  Ironically Coach Miller is the all time leading scorer in Evergreen school history and Mason is second just 11 points shy of breaking Coach Miller's record.  He was originally an Urbana University commit but Urbana is closing its doors due to declining enrollment as they only had an enrollment of 350 students this past academic year.  The pandemic did not help matters.  Mason was 3rd team All State in D-III in Ohio.
