Pretty hard to criticize a great D3 event like the Great Lakes Invite, but La Crosse gets paired up with St. John's, who they seem to play every other year and a host of other MIAC teams, and Marietta, who they just played in the 22-23 season. I would've like to see the Eagles go up against JHU, JCU or Emory.

I do plan on making the trip depending on who Point has at their 4-team tournament the same weekend, I believe.

On top of La Crosse's opponents...which like you said, would have been cool to see them playing teams they didn't just play...but why would La Crosse get the 1 pm time slot on both days?  They kind of got the shaft on that one.  I get them having the earliest game once, but not twice.

Beloit Turner 6'4" W, Tyshawn Teague-Johnson, has committed to the Pointers.  This is a huge get for the Pointers, Teague-Johnson brings athleticism like Malik Abdul-Wahid possesses.

Ashwaubenon G, Jayden Schoen, has decommitted from Oshkosh.  This seems odd from a local kid.

Sorry to say...but without Pearson, Platteville is not a top 5 team in the country.

Logan Pearson initially said he was going back to Platteville, now he's entering the portal.  He entered last year only to come back, we will see what happens.  He's obviously a huge loss if he leaves.

AJ Uttech is transferring from UWSP to Stout.  AJ needs to improve his outside shooting to get minutes in the WIAC, he's improved his athleticism since high school though.

I could very well be in the minority here...and it is certainly what I expected to happen heading into this season.  But, if I was a Whitewater fan, I wouldn't be thrilled with keeping Wichser on long term.  Like I said, it's what I expected to happen heading into this season, but what did he do that warrants keeping the job for one of the premier D3 jobs in the country?

He returned almost the entire roster off a Final 4 team, preseason number 2 in the country(could be wrong there going off memory).  He didn't even get a home conference tourney game and didn't make the National Tourney.  I don't think anyone expected that.  Like I said, I could be in the minority.  He just wasn't impressive with what he returned.

JD Schultz didn't pitch today, Kenny Schultz did.  So, still haven't seen JD or Mason Weckler on the bump this season.  I expected those 2 guys to be 2 of the 3 best starting pitchers Point had this season, without them, they don't have the depth to make a run.  Huber was a freshman I was excited about, he's listed on the roster but doesn't have a jersey number.  I have zero concrete information on him but an injury certainly is possible.

North Polk(IA) 6'1" G, Reggie Postel, has committed to River Falls.  This is the first commitment for River Falls that I have come across this recruiting season.

Huge win for the Pointers this morning over #1 Endicott.  They have another huge game going on now against #13th ranked Johns Hopkins, who just beat La Crosse 8-0 this morning.

Where is Mason Weckler and JD Schultz?  They still have yet to throw a pitch for the Pointers this year.

6'5" SPASH F, Nick Fox, committed to the hometown Pointers tonight.

Fox is a solid athlete who will probably be a solid defender at the next level, but this is strictly depth to me.  I hope they aren't taking Fox cuz they have already missed on higher priority targets, lots of guys still out there.

6'0" Batavia(IL) G, Nate Nazos, has committed to the Titans of Oshkosh.

Paulsen looking really good today.

6'2" St Francis(IL) G, Kelton McEwen, has committed to Whitewater.

Former Hudson 6'0" G, Andre Renta, is leaving St Cloud St for the transfer portal.  Why am I posting that here before any decision is being made?  His family has a ton of connections to UWRF and I would expect that's where he ends up.  If this comes to fruition, it will add another dynamic guard to UWRF's arsenal, will be a very good team next year with Zac Johnson and Jack Leifker.
