Curious what % of BU's staff are BU alums.  I could look it up, but I don't want any visits to their site in my search history.  ;)
Heckendorf (OC) and Kulick (QBs) are the only SJU coaches who aren't Johnnies (Kulick technically graduated from SJU but never played a down there).

We went to U$T on Friday to watch the Gopher volleyball team.  There was a good crowd (mostly Gopher fans), but that was the most sterile game day atmosphere I've ever been in.  They didn't even have a PA announcer.  I'll chalk it up to being a spring game, but...

They also need to be able to run the football.  Can't rely 100% on Aaron's arm.

Quin's dad, Marty, is a terrifying individual and grade A bad ass.  A few years ago, I was working a tournament, and they asked me to go relieve someone keeping score.  My partner at the table was none other than Marty Morgan.  :o

Wait, wait, wait.  How did I not know this? MV had a great team this year.  Our (Maple Grove) 215-lber lost to Quin Morgan in the finals.
We just got back from the MN/USA Wrestling State Tournament.  We had 2 champs and four 5th place finishers.  Little Duff went 2-2 in a brutal bracket--so proud of him!

Interesting!  I know the building but never knew it's history.

What was the Butcher Shop?  Did you get there by horse and buggy?

Dominoes delivered to SJU?  :o

Pretty wild that there is outdoor baseball being played at SJU this afternoon!

Not sure if non-SJU people saw this, but Syverson is returning at QB for SJU this season.  I'm glad to have a tested QB but can't help but feel for those those guys (Dittbenner, Downs) who are in line behind him.  I, for one, will be happy when all the "COVID years" are behind us.

New coach at Bethel.  Thoughts from those in the know?

Quote from: SagatagSam on February 21, 2024, 09:28:50 AMI believe he's graduating and will be using his final year of eligibility at Johns Hopkins as a graduate student (or at least I think that's a reasonable speculation of what he's doing).

Yes, that is true.

Are we back in business? :o

As John used to say, "Every year we replace irreplaceable guys."

Will the Johnnies start the 2024 campaign ranked in the top 15?

If Syverson is done, as I assume he is, I'd say they're outside the top 15.  If he returns, I could see them in the top 15.  I think UMU will be top 10 but probably not top 5.
