Title: Front-page surveys
Post by: Pat Coleman on July 30, 2006, 10:10:21 PM
I'm going to keep the results here of previous front-page polls, since there's been occasional requests for such information. Not leaving the board open for discussion, though, just information storage.

Who would you have picked as first-team quarterback?
Mike Orihel, Rowan: 22.1%
Andy Collins, Occidental: 21.1%
Mike Jorris, Mount Union: 17.7%
Justin Jacobs, UW-Whitewater: 13.9%
Rocky Pentello, Capital: 9.5%
Kam Kniss, North Central: 7.8%
Chris Warrick, Wesley: 6.6%
3204 votes

Conference preseason polls are primarily what?
Projection: 37.4%
History: 25.8%
Conjecture: 14.8%
Accurate: 12.6%
Posturing: 8.8%
1088 votes

I chose posturing because I know coaches will rate themselves low in order to try to affect the final outcome and fire up their team, or overrate another team to try to get it ahead of their own team, etc.
