Wouldn't Washington and Lee be the favorite tomorrow, given that they were ranked #2 in the preseason poll, while the Tigers were ranked #5?

I'm wondering where the pick'em is located.  I can't find it.

I think the current odds would have HSC as a favorite... Perhaps by 3.5 pts if it were vegas.

As for the pick 'em... here's the link...

Hey, Trenches.  Are you going to BC tomorrow?  I'm willing to carpool if you want.

It looks like I am as of right now (like you, barring anything unforseen).  I will send you a message.

Nice job by the wasps today. I thank you for handing that first loss to HSC.
W&L... nice job getting it done today as well. CU has come to play this year but you guys got it done in a must win game on the road.

Looking forward to next week... BIG GAMES ON TAP!!

Suprise #2 @ #1 showdown. Looking at the schedule... who would have pegged this as the 1 v 2 matchup this weekend??
- E&H takes the trip to the 2-0 Randy Mac... Can E&H walk in a seize control of the ODAC on the road??

and TWO pontential knock out games!!! 4 1 loss teams face each other!
- GC @ BC... both 0-1 in conference!!!! The loser of this one can likely say goodbye to playoff hopes!
- W&L @ HSC... After a hot start will HSC lose two in a row to drop out after being in the drivers seat??

This week has shaped up to be even more important than anyone could have imagined preseason.
93% chance I will be at BC on saturday.

Are you sure this was Vince Lombardi and not Al Roker?  :)

Hahaha.

"And now, here's Vince Lombardi with our weather report. Vince..."

I just noticed next weekend GC is BC's Homecoming game... very sneaky! You guys have a big enough home field advantage already!! ;D I have played there in a homecoming game, and I will say even if they weren't our fans, it's always fun to play in front of a big crowd. Don't think I ever got got to play in front of 15,000 though.  ;)

Hopefully, both teams will be well rested and well prepared after their bye weeks. Should be a great one.
You are coming, right?

The plan as of right now is to make the trip up. I would say it's somewhere around 85% because lately, things seem to be popping up left and right at the last second. I will give the final call sometime early-mid next week.
It would be a shame to miss out on the Stone station fixin's and those brownies. :(  Oh... and the game too.  ;)

Weather for Emory on Saturday:  81 degrees and partly cloudy.  I'm sure the weather will be similar at the other ODAC games.   Sounds pretty hot, especially for October!

UPDATE:  The E&H gate counter just reported the weather prediction...said the temperature will be 6,081.

Hey Pakownr -
not D3 related...but I just saw that if (when) Favre throws the record TD pass, the Vikes will stop the game for a presentation and put a Marino video tribute message from MArino to Favre on the jumbotron.

I hate the Packers......but really like Favre....good luck...I hope he breaks the record....next week!

Come on fellow Alum....Darren Sharper - Int for TD!!

I just saw that too... and agree... good luck to favre.. next week. Hopefully he'll break the all time INT record (3 away) before he breaks the TD record. ;)

Hasa... thanks for the breakdown... Unfortunately I was unable to attend due to a prior commitment, however, I was very pleased to see the final when I got in last night. Was just waiting for your breakdown before I commented any further.
Sounds like a typical Guilford game.. move the ball, spread it around a ton, a mistake here and there (what is up with the KO coverage????), and a defensive scare... But a W is a W and I will take it. Gonna be a crazy matchup in two weeks up in BC. Hoping to make the trip but can't say for certain yet.
  Congrats to the Quake.

Few side notes..
- funny to me that E&H hasn't played a conference game yet; But will open up with HSC next week... GO wasps  ;)
- Short ODAC schedule this week but two very important matchups...
    1) Current #1 (HSC) v #3 (E&H)... E&H opens conference play and HSC looks to continue it's reign atop the ODAC board.
    2) And 2 teams already with an ODAC loss look to keep their title hopes alive... Esp important to W&L who garnered 2 top votes in the preseason poll. Although the conference is as tight as possible, a loss for either would like cut all hopes of an ODAC title this year.
- Who would have predicted through 5 weeks...
       - Each ODAC team has 1 loss. No more. No less.
       - E&H leads the league with only 44 points let up (avg only 11 ppg let up).
       - With a steady balance of O and D Randy mac is 4-1.
       - HSC has let up 80 points in two conference games... and is 2-0!!

Oh by the way. I guess HSC just won the conference.  ;)

not so quick...looks like the game-of-the-ODAC is now the last game...HSC vs RM.
A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!!!!

who would have seen that one coming.... so what happens when there is a 4 way tie after GC beats RMC and RMC beats HSC?   ;) ;D

R-MC: 42, W&L: 17

It was 15-14 at the half, then Macon turned it up, and shut it down.  Varner was impressive in the 1st half, not so much in the 2nd.

craapp. I knew I should have went with my gut. From now on I will with these damn pick'ems. Nice job RMC.

I know HSC beat Bc and dickinson beat MC.

any updates on W&L/RMC (last I saw was halftime), CU/F&M, or E&H/MC??

... UWW/ULA and GC/GC start later.

I may not get to the GC game tonight (prior engagment)... If I do it won't be till around halftime. Good luck Guilford. Get it done in the Soup bowl!!

Hello from Charleston, SC.  Actually, the Quakers did get a few stops, but still gave up 56!  There was an interception, but they couldn't capitalize and at least two or three punts.  In my opinion, the facet of the game that hurt them the most was huge returns on kickoffs!  HSC was operating with a short field the whole night!  It was really frustrating to watch.  As I said before, Hampden-Sydney's Offense impressed me, but Guilford's Defense and Special Teams need to step up.  I have seen much better efforts.  As Quakes75 said, it's your team #40 - show these guys your proven Senior leadership.

I was thinking more about the need for a running game to help keep the clock running knowing the offense is so potent.

To be honest, the run game is there (for the most part). They have been averaging 4.4 per carry thus far. They have been getting some good chunks of yardage. The D has just been inconsistent. They have showed they can play... unfortunately they have also showed that they can get beat (too much).
It's aggrivating to see a team get an 8 yard sack to force 3rd and 14+ and then give up the first on the next play. I have faith in the D to hold teams to atleast enough for the quaker O to do their business and get the win... Sometimes you just have to wonder if they have the same faith.
