The article stated the teams would compete this year simply as "Carthage College" while the school searched for a replacement name.

Imitzel, is there a new name proposed for the Carthage teams?   Probably not a very good brand to go the Washington route and call them "the team from Kenosha."   Likely some new mascot and name, right?  Vikings and Titans already taken . . .  Carthage Cobras, Cougars, or Cardinals?  Any ideas? (Cathage Boscos!  :) ).

Need some creativity here.   :)

The completed floor at the Griswold...

Ryan Scott is going to hate this.

I love it and will be glad to watch Millikin basketball with the sound off.

Your loss.  How will you ever learn about amazing new insights like "the bad team theory" with the sound off?

Wow, for sure -- Augie goes down @Carroll.  A new picture on the conference race now . . . IWU two games up with five to go.

Only a one game lead, 70.

Well, I don't think I can be considered a Weenie fan secret or otherwise. But, since there has been so much talk that IWU should be ranked above Augie, I figured I'd make the side doing the complaining happy even if the D3Hoops poll voters wouldn't.

I'd say the discussion has consistently been around the large gap between Augie and IWU in the poll...not that IWU should be ranked higher.  Just that for the last several weeks the disparity in poll points/ranking has not made a lot of sense.

And perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't think any IWU fans are unhappy with where the Titans are ranked.  It's just a polling discussion on anchoring and what else would explain that gap.

Wow, great game!

Rhode missed a 3 for Elmhurst at the buzzer.   Wheaton wins 98-95.

In their final scrimmage before the opener Wednesday, the Titans won the Green/White scrimmage this morning (played at Illinois State's North gym due to the volleyball regional at Shirk).

I heard the Titans had all the best performances in this game.

There's that 6'8" center you asked for, Q!

Anybody know if they are streaming the IBCA all star games online?  I did a quick search and couldn't find them.

Very surprised to see the addition of Kramer to the CCIW and the NCC program.

Why is that?

North Park loses to 4-10 Manchester.  Wow.

Great game and a tough loss for the Titans.  Both teams gave up 12 point leads in the game and it took a last second jumper to put it away.  It seemed like two very evenly matched teams to me.

Halftime in Staten Island:

IWU 43
Middlebury 42

Titans were up 12 but Midd closed the half on a 17-6 run.  Lots of fouls called in the first half.

I watched the third to last possession on the Bears Sports Network and the play is too hard to see from the rafters, but Bears got an unfortunate call when Sanders rebounded the ball and passed it to the wing while falling out of bounds.  The official ruled that he stepped on the baseline.  Easy to see from 15 feet away, but a tough call for the official who was on top of the play.  Such is basketball...

Here is that play...

Looks like they may have missed an over-the-back foul on Sanders first (on Seibring)...and then possibly a travel (falling to the ground with the ball).  Impossible to tell on the out-of-bounds situation...although it kind of looks like his entire backside was on the floor while the ball was in his hands.  Maybe his right hand before that.  The official who called it was directly on top of the play and had the best angle in the building.

Any more plays to break down? This is kind of fun.

Wow!  Sanders clobbered Seibring on that one.

titanfan-

I'm jealous of you. Evidently once 4:00 rolls around on a Saturday, you are in the enviable position of being able to devote the rest of afternoon and evening to watching basketball. No shopping, yardwork, or housework, or are you Speedy Gonzalez and able to get everything done by 4:00?  ;D

You should be.  I'm living the dream.
