The A's signed Marietta pitcher Mike DeMark. The Diamondbacks released DeMark in mid-March.
The Diamondbacks released Hamline utility Dan Kaczrowski.
The Rockies released Chapman pitcher Kurt Yacko.
The Braves signed Frostburg State pitcher Greg Ross. The Braves traded Ross to the Tigers as the player to be named for Jeff Baker. The Tigers released Ross near the end of spring training. The Braves got Ross back and assigned him to Single-A.

My first thought is, what does a retring pitcher with a degree from Trinity CT do after baseball?

Alma's LHP Jose Velez is being scouted pretty decently. Had 5 pro scouts at the game last Sunday to watch him pitch 5, strike out 9, allow just two hits, then go 2-2 at the plate with 2 HR's and 6 RBI.

Throws a fastball in the 92-95 range and a slider in the 85-88 range.
