Appreciate the prayers, all.  Dad had surgery today that removed a tumor from his spine.  The surgeon did his best, and now we'll be moving forward to fight the cancer.  :-\
Dad's a tough SOB.

Many congratulations to your son and your family, Bobby.  That's great news.  Now he can get started on counting those international beans!

Congrats to your son! Very exciting to have that first real job out of college (and not having to live in mom & dad's basement)!
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

You buried the lead, that's full-blown entrance into adulthood. Congrats!!

Had a dream last night I was in Collegeville for a game. We were down 21-0 to the Auggies.  :o

Was Ayrton Scott the QB for Augsburg?

Strike that--was Marcus Brumm the QB? He's the one that beat SJU in Collegeville on homecoming in 2011.

That one still stings.

Ayrton Scott, Marcus Brumm...

I have to admit that the Auggies have some rockstar quality names at QB.   In terms of name quality, I reckon those rival Brett Favre.  What would be the perfect QB name?  Jimmy Shotgun?   Flash Gordon?

Sonny Sixkiller. Real guy, played for Washington Huskies in the 70's.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I just came across a guy named Happy Feller. He was a kicker for the Texas Longhorns in the late 60s/early 70s who went on to play for the Eagles and Saints. That's got to be a top name at the kicking position.

Had another dream last night that I was at an SJU football game. Maybe having the windows open and 50 degree air blowing in has me thinking of fall.
