That would be a noteworthy accomplishment!
Hampden Sydney College
ODAC Champions 77, 82, 83, 87, 07, 09, 11, 13, 14
NCAA Playoffs - 77, 07, 09, 10, 11, 13, 14
The "Game" 60 wins and counting...
11/18/2018 Wally referred to me as Chief and admitted "I don't know about that!"

If you are honest. I think you'd agree that not winning any championships, and only 1 playoff win in the past 3 seasons is disappointing.

Not really.  In 2013 the selection committee spit on Wabash's 9-1 record and left them as the first team out of the tournament.  That team would have had a good chance to win games in the tournament.  But that's the way it goes sometimes.  If I'm going to be disappointing with 8, 9, and 10 win seasons, I need to step away from this business.  Somebody give me a time out if I turn into one of these fans that's going to be disappointed and upset with results that 95% of the division would love to have.  We have it pretty good at Wabash.

Reaburn has to ecstatic to have such understanding fans.  It must be nice knowing winning the conference is no big deal, making the playoffs once in 3 years, and only winning one playoff game every 3 years is good enough to keep the fanbase happy. Especially considering Wabash's perceived stature on the national stage. I wonder if UWW fans will be so forgiving if their coach does the same over the next 3 years?

I guess we'll just have to settle for being a lot better than Hampden-Sydney.  :-\

Intercollegiate games of 100 points or more ... some ODAC schools listed:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_100-point_games_in_college_football

That's fun.  I think my favorite score there is North Park 102, North Central 34 in 1968.

Well W&L owns one of those monkey stomps. Centre owns a surprising amount. I guess those games in the early 1900s didn't really match up like institutions very well!

Two I already knew:  the infamous 222-0 Georgia Tech whitewashing of Cumberland and the "modern era" 1968 University of Houston 100-6 win over FBS-foe Tulsa.  I remember reading a quote from the Houston kicker in Sports Illustrated about how much pressure he felt late in the game when he lined up for the 100th point ... not wanting to let his teammates and Cougar fans down.

Sitting in the office with an HSC co-worker who happens to have played at HSC, looking at the list. I got down to the "V" section and thought "well, I don't see a Maryville game on here..." Boom. Then I see where Vandy drummed us 100-3 in 1912. My Tiger buddy sees it, says something along the time of "That sucks for you." I start scrolling again.
Three lines down: VIRGINIA MILITARY 136, HAMPDEN-SYDNEY 0.  (1920)
Timing could not have been better.

A little slice of humble pie all around ...

I don't know the final score, but Guilford played at Maryland during Bear Bryant's days there as HC ... the Terrapin cheerleaders did push-ups and sang the alma mater after each UM score.  Rumor is, by the end of the game, all the GC Quakers knew the UM alma mater by heart!

Upon further review!  According to HSC's Kaleidoscope the 1920 VMI game was far from a route!  It states "Only until the last quarter were the Cadets able to score and then only by a place kick."  https://archive.org/stream/kaleidoscope1920hamp#page/77/mode/1up

The 136 - 0 game may have occurred but not in 1920.

Well now we have conflicting evidence. The VMI Factbook does list that game as 136-0 for VMI in 1920. Given some of the other scores listed for VMI games that year, it seems plausible to me. See here:

Page 75, lower right corner. I think the HSC Tigers have a conspiracy brewing to cover up their embarrassing history!

**** EDIT ****

It is not a conspiracy, it is a case of poor research. Sorry HSCTiger fan, but you looked in the wrong yearbook. See here:

https://archive.org/stream/kaleidoscope1921hamp#page/75/mode/1up

"No Hampden-Sydney Team has ever suffered a more crushing defeat that than administered to us by the "Flying Squadron" by the score of 136 to 0. The less said about this game the better."

A game that took place in the fall of 1920 would appear in the 1921 yearbook...
