I will NEVER forget the Lew Alcindor rule that those august gents at the NCAA came up with so this c*** floats too.

QuoteDOC Chapman would be nice don't you think?
AGAIN, to quote Neil Young "Shoulda been done long ago"

QuoteI'm sure there are plenty of them out there that are at least as good as Puget Sound.
There are, by fact, not. LINFIELD has played them all. (hmmm, except Chapman, I believe) The NCAA looks at the west coast as one 15-team league it appears. That's right, only 15 teams west of the Rockies. (It's late, if I miscalculated)

QuoteI'm thanking God that our 4-year starter is gone after this year.  After 4 years, he still plays like he did during his 1st year.  He holds a lot of records because he's played in so many games and he's a great kid and a nice kid but I don't see us going all that far with him under center.  I think we'll at least beat Redlands. – chewey
It does seem just like weeks ago you folks were doubting him when he took over the team. Four years, eh?

Still no answer from Pat or Keith......I thought they had connections?
If you haven't already you are going to receive "got better things to do than your beck and call."

OH! There it is now that I've gone back to read the pages I'd missed while away from my terminals.

QuoteThe WC vs Oxy game was defiantly the longest game I've played at 3 hours and 40 minutes....
I was so defiant I did the SoCal thing and bid OB adieu at 5:00 left in the game. I knew better from past experience too.
Welcome to the board, 'lock11. Wondering why your ball does not have that tail waggle so many left-handers have. And how did you get away so many times?

OxyBob, during my date-sitting stint Saturday night, the ditched damsel was postulating about the continuing success of the black-on-purple brute of the Great Lakes (mid-West is such an archaic term) so please pass along this tidbit from the OAC board for some more discussion fodder
Quoteconsider the fact that Ohio has 21 NCAA D3 football schools and 34 total NCAA I, II, III colleges to compete with on kids (compared to NY's 17 D3 schools).

QuoteAny Redlands fans who make the trip out (highly recommended!!!) are more than welcome--invited, actually--to join the Stiftungsfestivities pregame tailgate.
Yes, of course, come in Hansel! Come in Gretel! Have some charred bovine flesh before we eat you for Saturday dinner ourselves.
How did the NCAA come up with these brackets? Did I miss Gagliardi announcing his retirement?

QuoteHere are a few arguments that you can win easily:
--Redlands has much more picturesque mountain views than St. John's.
--Redlands has more attractive female students than St. John's.
--Redlands has warmer weather than St. John's.
...don't forget:
--Redlands gets to deal with Title IX and ST. John's skates.

Did someone mention?

Got in some waves this AM and now out to Palm Springs for some charity work on the reservations.

TDT...when you come to, log on and see your early Christmas present from the NCAA.
Drink lots of water and extra vitamin B.

Again...most impressed with that MUC defense.

All the offense does not bode well for the rest of us either since logic dictates so many are getting playing experience and will be back to haunt us NEXT year and beyond.

QuoteI do have a question though....how is it Whitter can put up so many points on OXY

#11 Scurlock the Sherlock is the answer because he figured out the Occidental defense and was on his A game probably making him the All Conference 2nd Team behind Selway.

I was humbled in being able to share my past two years No Playoff Pain with OxyBob at the game tonight thus aiding him through this most difficult adjustment to earthly atmosphere. All it took was several Milano cookies.

Fear the Poet...that was me who introduced himself. Not sure if that was made clear. A fun win for the Whittier program.

Taking liberty with my status of having nothing to do with the LINFIELD program I put forth a question in the form of an opinion.

From the official 'CAT website
QuoteWildcats starting quarterback Aaron Boheme (Soph., Stanwood, Wash.) passed for five touchdowns - all in the first half - while completing 14 of 17 attempts in his major assignment.

. . . with five touchdowns thrown against the Pioneers, Boehme easily surpassed his number of touchdowns caught (2) this season. . .

If a program is going to "recruit the best possible athlete" then why not play them?

In the words of Neil Young.... "Should have been done long ago."

Anyone who is going to the Hall of Fame ceremonies this evening, and is familiar with  the principals, please give my congrats to Jim Massey and Jay Buse. Legends in my mind and deserving of  the fete.

Interesting...4 top ten teams lose today in Pat's Triple Take Day, the others win way too big (ala LINFIELD) and a 72-70 OT in the Liberty (We're All Bozos On This Bus) League.

Sounds like it.

I suggest rolling Selway out and allow him to run when he wants.
He looks like he can do it in a critical game.
Worked for OXYCollins.

QuoteTurnovers are killing Redlands!!!!!

Trying to play like LINFIELD is not a wise choice.

Final  Central 17 Wartburg 14

That sounded like a great game to see. Any archives in video for either school?
