Congrats on winning the national championship in wrestling, or rassling, depending on where you're from. I don't really follow the sport but I know Mount had an individual champ and a couple 2nd place finishers. Enjoy your victory, Augsburg. You're the best! 🏆

Oz, when did you take up paragliding?  https://twitter.com/706am/status/1104605758182703104?s=19

"What's up, skip?"

That's a funny vid.
The clip of the roo attacking the para glider was all over the news here in western Colorado.
We were happy you escaped safely :)

Assuming Duff and little Duff are at Williams Arena for the Big Ten Wrestling Championships. I just saw on BTN, Gable Steveson lose the final for the Championship.  Expecting a full report. Arrogance? Unprepared? Some of us, ok damn few of us, ok probably only me, want answers.

Gable should have taken more shots. If Eggum wants my number he can call me anytime for advice.

We were not there.  I contemplated buying tickets, but those big tournaments get to be long, and I just ended up deciding against it.

My take:  I knew Cassar would present a tough challenge because he's so strong and athletic.  Cassar was able to stay in good position, which slowed Steveson down.  I can't recall a match this year in which Steveson failed to score in the first period.  I would have liked to have seen him push the pace a bit more.  Also, I'm not sure why he didn't attempt to ride Cassar in the third period.  Steveson's pretty tough in the top position, and with a lead at that point, it seemed like a smarter choice to me.

All in all, that ruined his aspirations of an undefeated career, but hopefully, he'll benefit from the loss.  I imagine he'll get a #2 seed at NCAAs, probably putting him on the same side of the bracket as OK State's Derek White, who he has beaten once already.

Congrats to Robert Zimmerman, whose oldest is going to St. John's and following in his father's size-6, intramural-hoops-winning footsteps. He didn't even have to pay hundreds of thousands to have someone take the ACT for him. And with the employee discount, Robert can also now afford to watch St. John's games online.

Thanks sfury, I have to say in our tour of part the MIAC (SJU, Bethel, Concordia, UST, Carleton, and Macalester), I was really impressed by all of the schools we visited.  If I was going to be an engineer, I would definitely pick St. Thomas.  My son really hit it off with Boz Bostrom from the Accounting department at SJU and of course free tuition at SJU was tough to pass up.  I also told my 9th grader to pay close attention on the tours so we can save some time in 2-3 years.

Also, with my son at SJU next year, he can run down to the stadium Saturday morning and put a blanket down to save me a seat.  No online home games for me next year!

I'm sure that's just what he'll want to do after a late night of partying in St. Joe. ;D

You'd kinda think Bob Dylan could afford to hire someone to save him a seat.  Sheesh, what a cheapskate! ;D

Ha ha Duffman!  Mr. Ypsi, the waiting list for SJU season tickets is quite long!
