I know bball season is over and I'm not sure if anyone will read this post, but maybe one of you guys will repond to my question.  It's already been established that Maritime has the weakest program in the conference.  Who is the next weakest program and why?

Senior Hoopster

And by the way the Skyline Conference has been around since '89

If 0-3 is good enough how about 3-0 ?

Jay May

john r what are you talking about?

john r

Just reminding the pollsters of that little college msmc.

Jay May

just reminding john r of the msmc team that can't ever seem to make it past the first round in the ncaa tournament

john r

Just reminding Jay This is a top 25 poll for 2004-2005 not what we did last year. But that's ok; everyone can keep sleeping on us.

MountMe

I am disgusted and apalled at the fact that the Mount St. Mary women haven't garnered enough, if any, respect from the voters at d3hoops.com.  They BEAT the #25 team in the country by a sizeable margin, and lost to the #2 team in the country by a mere 5 points - a game that easily could have gone either way.  It blows my mind that Union not only moved up in the rankings the past two weeks since their loss to MSM, BUT the Mount LOSES votes along the way???  How does anyone expect them to do well throughout the season when they aren't even recognized for their amazing efforts and in turn are virutally slapped in the face??

Pat Coleman

If they need recognition from a poll to motivate them then there's trouble.

MountMe

You know as well as I do Pat that any type of 'praise' can boost a team's morale.  Consistently being 'shot down' by pollsters and other neigh-sayers who don't believe in a team can kill any confidence they may have had coming in to the season.  You know where I was going with the comment... no need for sarcasm on your end.

Pat Coleman

Not sure I do. I've seen a heck of a lot more motivation than disappointment come from perceived snubs.

It is time to find out who is in... and who is out.
Whose bubble has been burst and who is wearing Cinderella's glass slippers.
It's Selection Sunday... and tonight there will be a special "http://www.d3hoops.com/hoopsville">Hoopsville" as the 2005 NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Brackets are announced... LIVE on our air!
The Road to Salem and Virginia Beach officially starts tonight!

It plans to be a huge night... as 50 womens and 48 mens teams are officially invited to the dance and a chance at a national title.

Some teams already know they are going (thanks to winning their conferences) and some think they are going, but there are always surprises.

So tonight, we will break it all down. Starting at 8:30 PM EST, we will take a look at who is definitely in, who might make it, who will be disappointed, and what match-ups you might want to look forward to seeing later in the week.

Then at 10:00 PM EST... we will broadcast LIVE the Women's Selection Show so you can find out when we do... the 50 teams on the Road to Virginia Beach.

That will be followed by the Men's Selection Show at 10:30 PM EST - when 48 teams find out what their Road to Salem will be like.

After those selections... we will go over it with a fine-tooth comb and find out who we think are the surprises!

And throughout the show, we will hear from different regions with live reports and talk to coaches that have made surprising moves into the tournament.

Of course, you can listen in thank to http://www.goucher.edu/radio">Goucher College.

How many of the Merchant Marine players will be at sea when the season starts or will they all be off their ships by then?  Are they all able to practice now?

Whoa...long time no post here.

Anyways, Friday's games at Mount St. Mary, as well as Saturday's, will be webcast by d3hoops.com
